I started this daily reflections four months ago. This is the 100th episode. I thought of sharing some of the lessons that have guided me to becoming the person I am today.
I’ve been embracing these profound lessons as I continue to evolve and unfold on my path of self-development and improvement. There are, of course, more lessons I have learned and continue learning from this science. And it’s the reason I created this daily podcast.
I appreciate you all for following me in this journey.

Breathing is more than just a mundane bodily function. It lies at the very core of our existence—it's the essence of life itself. Without it, other functions of the body would come to a halt. We all know that the air we breathe contains oxygen. But the Yogis know that the air is also fully charged with prana. We are constantly inhaling air charged with this vital force.
When you inhale, oxygen and prana enter your lungs, ready to embark on a vital journey. Oxygen enters the bloodstream, while prana is used by your nervous system. Your blood carries that oxygen to every part of your body, nourishing your organs, while prana gives them the spark of life they need. The more you fill up your lungs, the more oxygen and prana you absorb.

A few years ago, in an interview with Jay Shetty, Kobe Bryant shared his perspective on navigating difficult emotions during his time as a basketball player. He emphasized the importance of separating oneself from these internal experiences and recognizing them for what they are: transient emotions that come and go.

From the most tangible layer, our body; to the innermost part of our being, the spirit. These are the principles that define our humanity. The Yogi philosophy places great importance on understanding our composition because it equips us with the knowledge of who we truly are. It allows us to navigate life more effectively.
Remember these principles and internalize them. When the mind becomes troubled, remember that it is separate from your true self, and you have the power to control it. When faced with physical challenges, remember you can train it to perfection. And when connecting with fellow humans, remember that they have the same inner light. Treat everyone with kindness and respect.

Imagine a light bulb covered with different layers of cloth. The spirit is the light at the center, and the surrounding layers are the principles of what makes us human. Each one serves as a tool to help the spirit express itself.
The real ‘I’ is not the body, or any of its surrounding principles, and it is not the mind either. The real ‘I’ is independent of the body and mind, which are only vehicles for its expression. It is indestructible and eternal. It may change the form of its expression, but it will always be the same ‘I.’
