Listen Later

This is a deeply inspiring conversation with one of the compelling new voices in America, Daniel Blackman (find him on Twitter and check out his new book, Nationalism Without Compassion). We talk about what is happening in America and how we as a people can come together. The more I get to know Daniel the more inspired and impressed I am by his character and convictions.

Daniel Blackman is a renowned Human Rights Advocate, Policymaker, and Venture-Philanthropist who has committed his life to resource equity and political empowerment with the hope of uplifting and revitalizing America’s most vulnerable communities. In 2016, he became the first African-American to run for office in Forsyth County, Georgia and was the 2014 Democratic Nominee for Georgia’s Public Service Commission. For over two decades, Daniel has focused on building coalitions to bring about positive change for communities that are often unseen, unheard and forgotten.

He is internationally renowned as a Keynote Speaker, Trainer, Leader, Community Advocate and Facilitator with over a decade of expertise specializing in social Justice issues such as criminal justice reform and the eradication of the global human trafficking epidemic. Daniel has been a Guest Lecturer at Clark Atlanta University, George Washington University, Howard University School of Law, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Tuskegee University, and the University of Georgia.
