Frank C. Worrell, PhD, is the current president of the American Psychological Association (APA). He is a distinguished professor in the Berkeley School of Education at the University of California, Berkeley, where he serves as faculty director of the school psychology program, the Academic Talent Development Program, and the California College Preparatory Academy. He is a certified school psychologist as well as a licensed psychologist. In addition to his position at UC Berkeley, Dr. Worrell is an affiliate professor in the social and personality area in the department of psychology. His areas of expertise include at-risk youth, cultural identities, scale development and validation, talent development/gifted education, teacher effectiveness, time perspective, and the translation of psychological research findings into school-based practice. Dr. Murray Stein is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. and M.Div.), the University of Chicago (Ph.D.), and the C.G. Jung Institute-Zurich (Diploma). He is a founding member of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and of the Chicago Society of Jungian Analysts. He has been the president of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (2014), and the President of The International School of Analytical Psychology-Zurich (2008-2012). His most recent book is the Mystery of Transformation. Dr. Stein has written extensively on matters of religion and published Jung’s Treatment of Christianity as one of his earlier works. I have asked him here today to discuss his understanding and approach to Christianity.

She was on the Clinical Faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine for over 30 years. She is currently on the faculty of the Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia (IRPP). She is the author of The Family Interpreted: Psychoanalysis, Feminism and Family Therapy -- published in 1992 -- which is still taught in therapy courses around the world. Carol Gilligan called it: "A book of unusual wisdom and humanity." Her more recent book is Schopenhauer's Porcupines: Five Stories of Psychotherapy which has been translated into seven languages, plus Braille. It was recently released as an Audiobook, read by the author herself. Dr Luepnitz was a contributing author to the Cambridge Companion to Lacan, and has written about the possibility of a "third way" for psychoanalysis -- that is: one that values the insights of both the Anglo-American and French schools of thought. In 2005, she launched I.F.A. (Insight For All -- connecting analysts with homeless and formerly homeless adults in Philadelphia. Shigeru Iwakabe, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Psychology at Ritsumeikan University in Osaka, Japan. He conducts psychotherapy research on client emotional processes from an integrative perspective. In this conversation, Dr. Ternes discusses her work as a clinical psychologist for CHKD (Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters). Dr. Ternes currently works in the Child Advocacy Center where she works with children who have experienced trauma. She utilizes both Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Christopher Ferguson, PhD, is a psychologist who has served as a co-chair of psychology at Stetson University in Florida and is currently a professor there. In 2014, Dr. Ferguson was named a fellow of the American Psychological Association. He further served as president of the APA’s Society for Media and Technology, and at the end of 2021, Dr. Ferguson resigned from the APA due to concerns that the organization is no longer dedicated to science and good clinical practice. Dr. Ferguson has written extensively on the effects of media - ranging from video game violence, to the television series 13 Reasons Why, to role-playing games. Dr. Ferguson is also a published author who has written both fiction and nonfiction.
