Daniel Training Network Bible Teachings

Simply, this was a conversation around the question, "What is aliyah?" In this teaching we seek to observe the nature of the Creator God in choosing to make His brutal execution on the Cross the highest defining characteristic of His identity. We attempt to peer beyond creation with verses such as "The Lamb who was slain before the foundations of the earth," and look at the substance of God's life on the earth in His Son. We try to gain a fresh perspective of the Cross through asking the question of "why?" instead of "what?" observing the fact that before God created, within the nature of the Godhead there existed the qualities of the Cross–That the Cross is inherently a part of God, His very identity is attached to it, and it is not merely an abstract idea He enacted for salvation. In this teaching we seek to define love through the outstretched arms of Christ Crucified. In a generation (and broken age) where love is usually typified by sentiment, a journey through the Gospel of John reveals Jesus definition of love in the life completely submitted to God, laid down even to death. The "Lord's Prayer" is a "maranatha cry," for the God of Israel to fulfill His covenant promises to His people and bring about His redemptive purposes for the heavens and the earth. This teaching explores, phrase by phrase, the covenantal background of this prayer that embodies and exemplifies the very faith of the Hebrew Scriptures. As believers in the promises of God, whether Jew or Gentile, we would do well to orient our heart and prayers in this same manner as we await the blessed hope. There are several views when it comes to what actually is the Kingdom of God. This network conversation discusses around how to talk with those who view the Kingdom as being "now and not yet," which is a popular view among many. In this survey of Israel's history a simple biblical approach is taken as to how we should understand the end-times. Generally the end-times are focused on worldwide judgment upon gentiles which is odd given the storyline of Scripture. Trying to tie together a linear understanding of God's dealings in Scripture, with the story of Israel as articulated, spoken, and prophesied by God's Spirit, we can foresee a clearer picture of what eschatology actually is and live our lives in accord.
