As the years go by, many of us find ourselves facing a new and unfamiliar challenge: understanding and empathizing with our aging parents. It's not always easy to grasp the changes they're going through or to relate to their experiences.
If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone. I, too, found myself struggling to connect with my aging parents until a friend recommended a remarkable book called "Eightysomethings".
Today, I have the privilege of speaking with Dr. Katharine Esty herself, who will shed light on the inspiration behind her book and offer insights on how we can navigate this stage of life with our aging parents, relatives, and friends.
❤️ Your Dare is to think about something that you’ve always wanted to do but didn't dare to do and do it.

“I feel as if I've lost the best job I've ever had.” This is the exact statement many moms have said to me over the past ten years while I've been supporting empty nest moms. They go on to say that if they're not full-time moms anymore, then what really is their purpose?
The transition from a bustling household to an empty one can be a mix of emotions. We may experience a sense of loss as our roles as primary caregivers evolve. However, it is important to remember that this newfound freedom also offers exciting opportunities for self-discovery and personal growth.
In this podcast episode, we will explore the concept of finding your purpose as an empty nest mom and how it can empower you to embrace this next phase of life with enthusiasm and fulfillment.
Remember, the empty nest phase is an opportunity for personal reinvention, growth, and self-fulfillment. It's time to prioritize your needs, passions, and desires. And to reestablish a sense of purpose that extends beyond motherhood. So, let's embark on this exciting journey together, rediscovering the vibrant, empowered, and purpose-driven woman within each of us.

Life is a rollercoaster ride with ups and downs, and not all days are filled with sunshine and happiness. In fact, there are days when we feel overwhelmed, anxious, or simply unhappy. These are the days when we wish we could stay in bed and hide from the world. But the truth is that these difficult days are just as important as the good ones. They are a reminder that we are human and that life is not always perfect.Â
In today’s episode of Mentor Moment, I'm going to share five ways that you can boost your mood and feel better overall. When you seek them out and you practice them and bring them into your life, you will feel less stress. You will increase your confidence, your resilience, and feel happier and better overall.Â
Dare of the Week✌️Your dare this week, should you choose to accept it, is:
1. Choose one of the actions in the episode for every day of this week coming up. Maybe even grab your bestie and embark on this fun adventure together.
2. Afterward, talk about how it felt or if you went solo, journal.
3. Ask yourself, Which one really did reduce your stress and make you feel better overall?Â
Rinse and repeat.

How do you go from bankruptcy to becoming an award-winning licensed financial expert?
I am so excited to share today’s guest, Ericka Neville! Ericka is the Money Coach who
started a financial education business and is now a Licensed Financial Advisor. She is dedicated to encouraging, empowering, and enriching the lives of people.
HER STORY:
After her son’s father tragically passed away in 1998, she was left with no life insurance, and I eventually filed for bankruptcy later that same year. During the 7 years of her bankruptcy, she became a speaker providing financial education to others, obtained her Business Degree, improved her credit score, and purchased her home.
She has been conducting money management workshops, seminars, and boss money challenges for the past 20 years. Ericka is also co-creator of the 2019 Millionaire's Mindset Dream Big Summit.
Ericka knows the feelings of fault, failure, and fear that come with not being able to pay bills, and having the stigma of filing bankruptcy. As a single mom, she not only had to repair her credit but her self-worth too. In today’s episode, she will show you how to do the same.
✌️Your Dare is to look
1. Look at yourself in the mirror and say this affirmation:
“I am worthy.”Â
2. Do this 3x a day for the next 30 days and pay attention to how you feel or any shifts.
3. Leave a review and let Ericka know what landed most for you during this episode.Â

NOPE, we're not going to clean your closet or that nasty junk drawer in the kitchen. Today, I want to talk about YOU and the nasty way you talk to and about yourself.
Just imagine some of the things you're saying to yourself. Would you ever say that to your best friend? In this episode, I will talk about being your own best friend, cheerleader, and coach. It can help you decrease anxiety. It can help you get out of that victim mentality.
I know you're saying and thinking these thoughts. And that's why we're going to start today to clean up your self-talk. I am going to help you create self-talk awareness so that you can clean up these negative thoughts.
Your Dare this week is keeping it simple with one step at a time.
Keep a journal or notebook with you. Pay attention to yourself. Think about the words you think to yourself and say them out loud. Write them down and notice any repeats.Â
After, there is a Double Dare of downloading the self-taught cleanup.
And finally, I'm even going to throw a Triple Dare! Let me know once you complete creating the shift in your self-talk. Drop it in comments or direct messages on social media.Â
I am also taking you through how to create affirmations deeper. If you'll grab my self-talk cleanup challenge resource, where you will get a PDF of everything I'm talking about here.
For the following six days, you will get me in your inbox by doing the PDF challenge. I will take you through six days of our self-talk cleanup challenge to help you get a great start on creating self-talk awareness. I will help you create a shift and change to feel less stressed, happier, calmer, and more at peace.
