In today’s "Real-Time True Crime" Mini deep dives, we’re covering three cases that expose the darkest corners of the human mind — and each one is shocking, heartbreaking and unbelievable in their own way.

Three Cases: First, we look at the chilling case of Matt Hertgen, who was living a seemingly normal suburban life… until a disturbing crime inside the home he shared with his younger brother would leave the entire community stunned.

Next, we move to Newcastle, Australia, where 21-year-old Mackenzie Anderson, a young mother with her whole life ahead of her, was tragically caught in a deadly situation involving obsession and emotional control. Her story sparked national conversations about relationship red flags, stalking, and the justice system’s role in protecting women.

Finally, we take a harrowing look at the story of Dr. Gerhardt Konig, a highly respected anesthesiologist and university professor who appeared to have the perfect life — a successful medical career, a beautiful wife, and a vacation in paradise.

But behind the scenes, a storm had been brewing… and what happened on a remote hiking trail in Hawaii would leave the public shocked and horrified. These three cases may be different, but they all share a common thread: hidden darkness, dangerous obsession, and irreversible consequences.

PART TWO of our Two-Part Series Of the twisted case of Christina Parcell. This one WILL shock you.

It involves a mother, a Juilliard-trained concert pianist, and a brutal, senseless murder.

Zachary David Hughes had all the hallmarks of a gifted, successful musician, elite training, a prestigious education, and a future most people only dream of.

But behind the talent was something far darker. In October 2021, Christina Parcell was stabbed more than 30 times. What followed was one of the most shocking true crime cases to come out of South Carolina in recent memory, a descent into violence that no one saw coming, and a courtroom reckoning that ended with a life sentence, no possibility of parole.

In this true crime documentary-style deep dive, Kimbyr and Jon break down the full case: who Christina was, the events of that October night, the investigation, the trial, and what the evidence revealed about the mind behind the crime. This is more than a crime story; it's a look at how far someone can fall and what justice looks like when the gavel finally drops.
