In this episode of In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics, we welcome longtime Cincinnati Bengals assistant coach Darrin Simmons who has been with the Bengals since the 2003 season.

Simmons grew up in Kansas, attending Elkhart High School before heading to Dodge City Community College. He earned NJCAA All-American honors, then headed to the University of Kansas, where he earned All-Big Eight honors.

After his college career, Simmons started his long coaching career as a graduate assistant at Kansas and Minnesota before heading to the NFL, where stops at Baltimore and Carolina came before coming to Cincinnati in 2003.

Simmons will talk about his youth, farming, football career as a player and coach in this episode, along with what battles fans should watch for on the Bengals special team units in camp.
