What could it cost you? Sophia Zeller, a college student at Kalamazoo College in Michigan, speaks with Dave about her experience with lending her car to her friends. Bankrate Analyst Shannon Martin joins the show to discuss some of the risks drivers take when they let other people drive their car. Mike Schultz has a message for Utah's higher education institutions: Buckle up and get budgeting. Schultz is asking Utah universities to cut their spending by 10% ahead of the upcoming legislative session. Schultz said he is concerned about increasing administrative costs and is focused on making sure the schools are operating efficiently in the face of the skyrocketing price of a college degree. House Speaker Mike Schultz joins Dave to talk about college costs and budget cuts.

You may have been hearing more train horns recently... and that's because railroad crossings from Ogden to Provo no longer meet the standards for quiet zones within the Federal Railroad Administration. Cities are now responsible to update the quiet zones to meet the requirement. Mayor of Kaysville Tamara Tran joins the show to discuss what feedback they have received on the train horns and what the cities need to do to retain the quiet zone status. 

Recent data shows more and more teenagers are saying they feel burned out. Dave speaks with Psychologist Tom Golightly, as he shares with his analysis on the growing pressures teens are facing.  

Two amendments listed on this year's ballot are not really there, one of them includes Amendment A. The amendment would have removed the earmark that gave all Utah income tax collections to public and higher education, but it ALSO said a yes vote meant “state statute will eliminate the state sales tax on food.” As this amendment is now void  on the ballot, Dave speaks with Jay Evensen, Opinion Editor of the Deseret News about what this means for the future of the food tax.
