To get a perspective from people dealing with this issue, Jeffrey Keller, parent of a student in Davis County, talks with Debbie and Taylor about his daughter's large 5th grade class size and what he thinks about caps on class sizes as a solution.

Former President Donald Trump has postponed his Park City fundraiser scheduled at the end of the month. According to the Deseret News, in an email sent to donors, they cite the reason for postponement on the former president's schedule changing. This is the second time that this fundraiser has been postponed, the first was scheduled for June but was moved so he could debate President Joe Biden. Debbie and Rusty go into why he might postpone this event in the last three months heading into Election Day, and focusing the former president's message to key battleground states like Arizona and Nevada.

 

People are now going to see a question on the November ballot asking if they want to change the state constitution and allow lawmakers to change or throw out voter-led ballot initiatives. Lindsay Aerts, KSL TV Reporter, talks with Debbie and Rusty about the latest details and what this means for voters in November.

In Boise, Idaho, parents now must give consent before students can get a Band-Aid or headache medicine from nurses and staff. Idaho Senate Bill 1329 states that “an individual shall not furnish a health care service... to a minor child without obtaining the prior consent of the minor child’s parent.”  House Representative for District 33 in Idaho, Barbara Ehardt is the floor sponsor of this legislation, she joins the show to share reasoning behind the legislation.

In January, a fake Joe Biden robocall told New Hampshire Democrats not to vote in the primary. Now a telecom company has agreed to pay a $1M fine over the deepfake. Debbie and Rusty talk with KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas, about the legal implications this fake call and how this settlement could impact the deceptive use of AI.
