We are 3 days out from the last day of the session and lawmakers are on the grind. The proposals for Utah to get two new professional sporting stadiums is top of mind and, yesterday, Ryan Smith, owner of the Utah Jazz, tweeted a rendering of what downtown SLC would potentially look like with the NHL stadium addition. Holly Richardson, Editor at Utah Policy, joins us now to give us further updates on the changes to these bills that would bring massive development to several areas in Salt Lake City. We also heard from you, our listeners, about your thoughts on these proposals! 

U.S. Presidential Candidate, Nikki Haley, is in Utah today. She made a stop to KSL broadcast house to speak with the Deseret News and KSL Editorial Board as well as a 1:1 interview with Boyd Matheson. Wendy's, the fast-food restaurant chain, wants to jump in on surge pricing, which is what happens when companies adjust prices based on time of day and expected customer numbers. Wendy's expects to make this change next year but how? By utilizing dynamic pricing and artificial intelligence-enabled menu changes through a digital menu screen. Wendy's has since released a statement that it is not their incentive to raise prices on customers in the drive thru line. It still brings up the question: We've come to expect this when it comes to ride-hailing services, but is it acceptable for food services? Debbie doesn't think so. We hear from callers about their experiences with dynamic pricing and the tolerance for it.

Utah lawmakers not throwing a 'perfect game' on the proposal for an MLB stadium. Since yesterday, they've tossed out the hotel room tax but kept the car rental tax increase.
