Pell Grants are a form of financial aid provided by the federal government to students who demonstrate financial need. However, currently, Pell Grants are only available to students pursuing traditional associates or bachelor’s degrees.A group of 15 members of the U.S. House of Representatives has written a letter to congressional leaders encouraging a change to that policy. Three members of Utah’s federal delegation signed on, John Curtis, Blake Moore and Burgess Owens. Congressman Burgess Owens, who serves as Chair of the Higher Education and Workforce Development Subcommittee joins the show to discuss this further.

This week it was ruled that Celeste Maloy’s name will officially be on the CD2 special election ballot, following that news Maloy announced she will be planning 10 debates in 10 counties over the next two weeks where she has invited both competitors Becky Edwards and Bruce Hough to participate in. A stolen dog was reunited with his owner after his owners car was stolen with Reo the dog inside it. After days of searching Dee found Reo after being led to a homeless camp. The man who helped her find the dog was rewarded with $2,500. D2 speaks with Dee Thorell, Reo the dog's owner.

Last week, 18 year Bronny James suffered cardiac arrest during practice. A similar terrifying moment happened in Utah during Monday night football with Damir Hamlin.
