Alcohol is a leading cause of cancer, a risk that should be clearly labeled on drinks Americans consume, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy proposed on Friday. The proposed advisory would require approval from congress, an approval that is rarely granted by the federal government. Dr. Katie Kerrigan, a Medical Oncologist at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, joins D2 to discuss the extent of alcohol on your physical health and its role in causing cancer.  

President-elect Donald Trump shook hands with his former Vice President Mike Pence and visited with former President Barack Obama during the state funeral for late President Jimmy Carter on Thursday. Trump admitted in an interview that the interaction "appeared friendly." Dave and Deb discuss the theatrics of campaigning, and explore the relationship between holding grudges and maintaining your mental health.  

Several measures went into effect Thursday in order to ramp up security in areas that have been evacuated due of devastating fires in the Los Angeles area. More than 20 arrests have been made on suspicion of looting. and National Guard troops were deployed Friday in some burn and evacuation zones for protection. Dave and Deb are joined by KSL's Legal Analyst Greg Skordas to discuss what rights individuals might have in protecting their property from looters, and weigh the decision of staying in an emergency in order to protect your possessions, or abandon them to evacuate.  

A West Valley teen, who was the only person to survive what police call a murder-suicide is showing an uplifting recovery as he is expected to be released from the hospital soon. In December, five family members were found dead in their West Valley home. The now 18 year old son, Sha Rae was found alive with a gunshot wound and has been recovering in the hospital.  Garna Meija with KSL 5 TV brings an update on his recovery as she has been in contact with those close to Sha Rae.

Tik Tok is set to be banned on January 19th. SCOTUS will hear arguments Friday from Tik Tok and it's China-based owner ByteDance as the company hopes to block the ban from going into effect. KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas discusses what to expect from the hearing and what happens if the app goes away and Content Creator, Maurissa Ashby, @helloitsmaurissa on Tik Tok, also joins the show to explain how she's already adapting if the platform disappears.

A new study came out that says there might be a cure for the low water levels that lies in the hands of farmers.  House Speaker Mike Shultz is a multi-generational farmer in Utah and talks with Dave and Debbie about the realities of alfalfa farming and what the agriculture community can do to restore the one-of-a-kind Great Salt Lake to healthy water levels.
