That came crashing down after a solid start in the first half that saw the Bengals keeping Patrick Mahomes in check and putting up three scores to hold a 17-7 advantage midway through the second quarter.

While the Bengals held the Chiefs to only one touchdown in the first quarter of play, Mahomes put the Chiefs in position to get six field goals from Harrison Butker on their way to a 25-17 victory that sealed the Bengals fate for the season.
