Prior to opening it's members became heavily involved in running art programmes with various groups in the community, including reviving the May Sundayfestival an event which started in Killeagh over a Century ago. With the realisation that there's demand from local artists to get involved in Arts classes/workshops, they need a more spacious workshop.
