Greywood Arts opened 3 years ago in an old Georgian building as an artist residency. Prior to opening it's members became heavily involved in running art programmes with various groups in the community, including reviving the May Sundayfestival an event which started in Killeagh over a Century ago. With the realisation that there's demand from local artists to get involved in Arts classes/workshops, they need a more spacious workshop. Luunah, an alternative-electronic music project led by singer-songwriter, artist and live performer, Sarah-Beth, came together in 2019, gradually coalescing from different years of CIT School of Music’s undergrad in Popular Music. The band quickly began writing and gigging, working hard to form a uniquealternative pop sound. A group of young people from Cork have joined forces to compose a rap song called "Science Shapes Our Future" especially for the Cork Science Festival. With the help of GMCBeats Workshops the song is all about the importance of science in the community.
