Voice of the Seahawks Steve Raible talks about Doug Baldwin as a Pro Bowl player and a Pro Bowl citizen, plus thoughts on D. K. Metcalf and more. Just a few hours ago, we found out that the Seahawks have terminated the contracts of Doug Baldwin and Kam Chancellor. Kam was inevitable, but we still weren't sure about the fate of Doug until today. Baldwin is second place in most receiving stats on the Hawks behind one man; Steve Largent. Largent calls in to talk about Baldwin's career, the challenges the rookie receivers face this year, and his opinion of Russell Wilson's contract. We switch gears to talk a little basketball with 95.7 The Game's Bonta Hill. Can Golden State compete without Kevin Durant?

The original big Hawks story of the day that's now goten lost in the Baldwin and Chancellor news is the signing of Ziggy Ansah. Timing seemed perfect to end up with a player like Ansah right after losing Clark, but the biggest factor here is injuries. Can he stay healthy? Matt Dery of the Locked on Lions podcast has covered Ansah for years, and he isn't remotely sold on the idea that this is a good move for Seattle. Ian Rapoport had the lead on the Ansah story yesterday, but the GM of the Bills who were reportedly also in the running for Ansah, ripped Rapoport's reporting. Looks like Rap was right again. Steve Wyche of the NFL Network joins us to discuss the big news of the day from the Seahawks. Will Doug Baldwin ever play again for someone else, or is he done for good now. Softy pulls out some clips from Baldwin from a few years ago, giving a better sense of the man, and the player he is. Dick gives Nate two choices; Durant misses the rest of the playoffs and the Sharks win the Stanley Cup, or Sharks don't win and KD returns? NHL Seattle is taking a poll on the type of mascot you're looking for.

They were up at the rain delay, but the M's lose again last night thanks to the bullpen blowing the lead in the ninth once again. Yes, they're sitting right at .500 right now, but they've fallen a long way in just the last few weeks. No one expected them to compete this year, but with the off chance that they're still alive, it's time to get the closer situation figured out. There is still a small chance that they're in this thing. We're still waiting to hear if Ziggy Ansah is going to be a Hawk or not. Jason La Canfora has the latest on that, and other potential players signing with Seattle. Based on where the Hawks are right now, are they worse or better than they were last season? Obviously some big pieces are either gone, like Clark, or potentially gone, like Baldwin. Some of the guys in the draft class look good, but we know absolutely nothing about how they'll actually perform at this point.

Gregg Bell from The News Tribune joins us with the latest news on the Seattle Seahawks. We ask him the question we debated last hour; are the Hawks a better team this year than last year, or worse? This feels a lot like the 2011 team, and more than half the starters on that roster were here two years later. Fox is launching a gambling product, becoming the first major company to do so. Indiana just legalized sports betting. How long will it take for us to finally get it here? It's unlikely any team in the West is going to stop Golden State before the Finals, but in the East, the two teams still standing are probably going to be the Bucks and Raptors,which means whoever emerges from the East will be a team we haven't seen in the Finals in recent years. It's about time we saw some new blood at the championship level in the NBA.

It's another show where we're stuck inside, looking out at absolutely perfect weather. We need to figure out a place to broadcast where we can be outside. Felix pitched last night and got lit up, but aside from that game, and the one in Kansas City where he was apparently sick, he's looked like a solid fifth starter. Jason Puckett made comments earlier today about Paxton Lynch, and quarterbacks in general needing to throw at rookie camp. He joins the show to explain what he said. With Yankoff leaving and Sirmon staying, we're going to spend the next four years playing Did They Pick The Right Guy, just as we have with Browning and Rypien.
