  • Softy and Dick H1 - Last night's M's game is a microcosm / Talking actual college basketball / Mike Garafolo on Doug Baldwin's injuries
The first official day of Mariners baseball in 2019 is in the books (yes, really). It was an offensive battle with the two teams scoring a total of 16 runs, and frankly, that's probably what you can expect from the rest of the season; lots of offense with pitching that struggles at times. Anyone can fill out a bracket and talk about it on air. We actually talk a little college basketball, looking at a few of the matchups we'll see in the first round, and matchups we expect to see later on. Doug Baldwin says he could be going in for more surgeries this off-season. Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network has more information. He talks about that with us, plus free agency rumors and more.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Mike DeCourcy on the NCAA Tournament / Petros Papadakis: Embrace the chaos / Textimonials: Flat bill hats
Three teams from the Pac-12 make the tournament. How many games do the teams win, over / under 2.5? Will Washington beat Utah State? Mike DeCourcy answers these questions, plus his Final Four, Title Game, and Champion predictions courtesy of Zeeks Pizza. Petros Papadakis discusses Mike Trout's new contract, the continuing USC admissions scandal, and a ton of other craziness. Is it cool for a 45-year-old white guy to wear his hat backwards, or to wear a flat bill hat at all? Textimonials weigh in at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Lee Sterling's tournament picks / Highlights from Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse with Cliff / DPI: Tournament edition
We know you're looking for winners in the NCAA Tournament. Lee Sterling of Paramount Sports joins us with seven such winners in the first round of the tournament. Cliff Avril had Jermaine Kearse and Doug Baldwin on with him today. Doug talked about needing more surgeries. Could we be seeing the end of his football career soon? Jermaine was asked about returning to the Hawks. Could we actually see him back here in Seattle? Mike "The Pope" Francesa was at it again with some absurd comments this week. Dixon has what could be the last DPI of the season.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Huskies in the tournament for first time in 8 years / Doug Gottlieb on the matchup with Utah State / Rooting for 2 teams
Despite a bad loss to Oregon in the Pac-12 Tournament on Saturday, the Dawgs have made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in eight years. It's amazing how many negative fans are out there already declaring this team dead in the first round. The same thing happened after the end of the regular season when some fans said they'd lose in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, and they made it all the way to the Championship Game. Some people seem to have short memories. Washington gets the 9 seed, playing against Utah State in the first round on Friday. So how do they match up against the Aggies. Fox Sports' Doug Gottlieb has some thoughts on the game, the Pac-12, and all things college basketball. It's tournament time, so this topic rears its ugly head again: Softy is critical of Dick for rooting for both Gonzaga and Washington. Is it acceptable to root for multiple teams? We take caller's reactions.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Seahawks looking at Jordy Nelson / Legitimize the season / Lorenzo Romar with thoughts on the Dawgs / Textimonials
Jordy Nelson will be visiting the Seahawks (along with a couple other teams). This isn't as exciting of a prospect as it was a year ago when he was reportedly talking to the Hawks, but maybe he's still got gas in the tank. Maybe the team sees something they like and he's worth picking up. He hasn't been the player he was in Green Bay for a few seasons though, so let's not expect all that much. The reputation of Pac-12 basketball is hanging in the balance in Friday's game. If the Dawgs lose, they're losing to a team that couldn't even win the Mountain West. If the Dawgs are to legitimize the season they just had, prove that it really was something incredible, they need to at least win this game. Most of the players on this Washington team were recruiting by former coach Lorenzo Romar. What's it like to watch his former players make it to the tournament? He talks to us about it, plus thoughts on the Pac-12, St. Mary's, and more. Textimonials at 49451 react to Dick rooting for UW and Gonzaga, and more.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Shawn Harrison on the Utah State Aggies / Fun with Audio / Malik McDowell visiting the Cowboys
The Dawgs play the Utah State Aggies on Friday afternoon in Columbus, but who are they, and how do they match up? Shawn Harrison, the Utah State beat writer for the Logan Herald Journal joins us with some thoughts on the team, and who expects to come out on top. On Fun with Audio, a couple of choice clips from Mike Francesa, including one showing he knows nothing about Washington or Utah State basketball, Joe Lunardi predicting a Dawgs loss, more Rough and Rowdy fighters, and Conor McGregor firing up the Boston Bruins. Malik McDowell is apparently visiting the Dallas Cowboys, but wait, wasn't he supposed to be too injured to play football again? It's going to be especially frustrating to watch them in Dallas because they're contenders, assuming he actually goes there of course. If he can play, shouldn't he still be here? Friday's tournament game will be the biggest basketball game in Seattle in at least eight years. Despite all of the negativity brought on by some fans, just try to enjoy the game.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - A chance to reclaim this town / Key to the game: rebound margin / Longtime Husky voice Bob Rondeau
The Dawgs are in the Pac-12 semi-finals, and we're seeing some of the most energy we've seen around this basketball team in years. This is a chance to prove that this is a college basketball town, that young players don't have to go to Eugene or Spokane to get recognized. It's a chance to reclaim this town from Gonzaga who has gotten the local limelight in college basketball for years. Dick says the key to tonight's game is rebound margin against a team that is 12th in rebound margin in college basketball. Bob Rondeau was the voice of the Huskies for many years, but he's also a Colorado alum, so where do his allegiances lie tonight? He tells us who he's rooting for, plus thoughts on the game and the conference. We're making our final decisions for Put Up or Shut Up offers today. Some new offers make the cut, but who do we have to drop?
