After two weeks off, Softy is back and ready for football season. Just in time for his return, the big story of the day, Jarran Reed has been suspended for six games by the NFL stemming from an incident that took place in April of 2017. Nobody knows exactly what happened, but if he's innocent, the best thing for Reed to do would be to come out and tell his side of the story. The league has suspended Reed, but Tyreke Hill has gotten nothing for his incident. There just doesn't seem to be any consistency in how the league handles these types of incidents. Joining us to discuss the Jarran Reed situation, and a lot more news from around the NFL is Mike Sando, who can now re-join our roster of guests thanks to his association with The Athletic. Doug Baldwin's still up on the mural on the west wall of CenturyLink Field. Who should be the player to replace him?

While Softy was away, the new Seattle hockey team announced Ron Francis as the new GM. We're feeling pretty good about the hire if for no other reason than Tod Leiweke selected him. Tod has done nothing but succeed everywhere he's gone, and in multiple sports. It's clear that Francis is going to get whatever it is he needs to win once this hockey team gets going. Wednesday is Pac-12 Media Day as we take another step toward football season. Softy and Dick will be in LA all day Wednesday. In the meantime, we're joined by Rick Neuheisel to talk some Husky and Pac-12 football. We get his thoughts on Jacob Eason, and what he expects to see from Justin Herbert and Oregon this season. Dick Fain is flying solo for most of today with Softy still on vacation. The Open Championship has begun, and already it is proving to be the most unpredictable major of the four. Dick has some thoughts on who could perform well this weekend. Damian Lillard recently stated that shutting down OKC was "for Seattle" There's always been a Seattle vs. Portland rivalry in basketball, but without a team, and with Portland showing us some love, maybe we can return the favor, at least until we get a team back. There is a Seattle vs. Portland rivalry that is alive and well. It's considered one of the best rivalries in the entire world of soccer, and we'll see it on full display this weekend at CenturyLink Field.
