  • Softy and Dick H2 - Nate or Great: Niners will win more games? / Larry Scott changing his tune / Bill Krueger on the Mariners / Textimonials
Always the confident Bay Area sports fan, Niner Nate has bet Dick and Dave that the 49ers will win more games than the Hawks this year. Yeah, the pass rush is better, but that's not enough to overcome all of the other deficiencies San Francisco has. Softy and Dick were at Pac-12 Media Day just a couple of days ago and had a chance to chat for a few minutes with Commissioner Larry Scott. He's soundnig a lot different these days. Maybe someone got in his ear and let him know the perception of the conference was in the toilet. Let's see fi this leads to any significant changes. The trade deadline is fast approaching in baseball and thus far, Dipoto hasn't made any moves. So, are we about to see Mike Leake moved? We talk with Bill Krueger about this, plus when we might see the King on the mound again, and are we finally seeing production from Seager again? Textimonials react to Nate's ridiculous bet, and the biggest sports star in Seattle history.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Mike Leach from Media Day / Breaking: Bobby Wagner signs 3-year $54 million contract / Gregg Bell / Curtis Crabtree
Mike Leach had an interesting back and forth with Softy and Dick from Pac-12 Media Day (as if you'd expect anything less from Mike Leach). In case you missed it, we've got the highlights. Breaking news on this Friday afternoon: Bobby Wagner and the Seahawks have agreed on a new deal, Wagner getting $54 million over three years, $0 million of which is guaranteed. The News Tribune's Gregg Bell joins us with all of the details. KJ was on earlier today talking about Bobby's importance to the team. Now seems like an appropriate team to play that back. Lastly, we get some insight into the deal from our own Seahawks reporter, Curtis Crabtree.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - A new era of Seahawk football / The hype around D. K. Metcalf / Jarran Reed answers questions from the media
It's here! It's finally here! The unofficial start to the NFL preseason is here! We were at training camp all day checking out the first full day of training camp. It feels like this is a new era of Seahawk football, with no Doug Baldwin, no Earl Thomas. The Super Bowl team we knew is almost gone. Yeah, we saw changes last year, but it feels even bigger this year. Nonetheless, we move forward with new blood on the team, including the receiver with high expectations, D. K. Metcalf. So what can we honestly expect out of the rookie? He's obviously not going to be a Pro Bowl caliber player his first year. Maybe 35 catches for 550 yards and six touchdowns is the appropriate mark. Jarran Reed spoke with the media for a bit today following his six-gam esuspension from the league. We roll back the highlights.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Seahawks have the 31st-ranked secondary? Is that even possible? / Hugh Millen's thoughts after Day 1 / Textimonials
Pro Football Focus has ranked the Hawks' secondary as the 31st in the NFL. Wait, 31st? Is that even possible? Yes there are question marks, but it's hard to imagine any secondary under the guidance of Pete Carroll could possibly be ranked that low. Hugh Millen was out at the VMAC this morning. We get his take on the secondary, plus first thoughts on D.K. Metcalf, and more. Textimonials react to the first two hours of the sow at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Would Reed still be a Hawk if...? / In the Locker Room w/Tedric Thompson & Will Dissly / 18-game season / Pre-Game Show
What if we found a video showing Jarran Reed doing everything that's claimed in the police report? What if we knew that all of the allegations against him were 100 percent true? Would he still be a member of this Seahawk team? Would they find an excuse to keep a guy with 10 1/2 sacks, or would they stand by their previous statements about domestic violence and let him go? On a lighter note, it's the first edition of Dick and Dave in the Locker Room this year as Softy catches up with Tedric Thompson and Dick talks with tight end Will Dissly. Softy finds the idea of the 10-game NFL season interesting. It would add a level of strategy. The M's take on the Detroit Tigers tonight at home, which means another edition of Baseball's Unsponsored Pre-Game Show courtesy of AgriShop Ace Hardware.
