  • Softy and Dick H1 - Terry Hollimon co-hosting / Yankoff's eligibility blocked / The next step for UW football / Seahawks TE Nick Vannett
Terry Hollimon is filling in for the vacationing Dick Fain this afternoon. Word came out that Washington has blocked Colson Yankofffrom being eligible to play for UCLA. This isn't a huge surprise given Coach Petersen's feelings on transfers. What is the ultimate goal for the 2019 Husky season? Obviously, a national championship would be the real goal, but let's be a little more realistic. The goal this year is to beat one of the next-level elite teams, whether it's in a Final Four game, or in another bowl game. Softy caught up with tight end Nick Vannett at the VMAC this afternoon. What does this Seahawks offense look like when it's firing on all cylinders?

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Tim Beckham suspended for 80 games / Jon Wilner on the Yankoff situation, more / Textimonials: Topics for Terry
M's utility player Tim Beckham was busted for alleged use of the banned supplement stanozolol. He claims, as everyone always does, that he didn't know what he was taking, and that the substance was tainted. The silver lining is that Beckham isn't a long-term piece on this team anyway, and may very likely have been released at call-ups anyway. Colson Yankoff has been blocked from playing at UCLA this season by Washington. With more on this story, The Mercury News' Jon Wilner. Today's Textimonials is all Topics for Terry at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Gas co-hosting / Seahawks stock: Buy or sell / NHL Seattle's new GM Ron Francis / Biggest sports regrets
Dick Fain is on vacation, so Softy is joined today by Mike Gastineau. If the Hawks were a stock, are you buying or selling right now? It's hard to ever bet against the team as long as Pete Carroll is heading it. Even before him though, going back to about 2003, this team has been on a great run; one of the best in the NFL. How would the fanbase react if the team posted a 4-12 season? It's going to happen at some point. Ron Francis, GM of the new NHL team in Seattle stops in to sit down with Softy for the first time. He discusses the next steps in building the franchise, engaging the potential fans in Seattle, scouting, and more. • Softy and Dick H3 - Decline of the hydros / Gregg Bell with Seahawks news / Losing the ability to disagree / How far we've come / Dick Baird
The Seafair hydro races took place over the weekend, and it was the perfect weekend for them, but it just reminds us how much bigger of a deal the event used to be. What can they do to convince people to spend the money to go out and watch these boats? Gregg Bell of The News Tribune talks about the scrimmage that took place in Bothell over the weekend, plus updates on Bobby Wagner, and more. Gas reflects on the fact that at some point, we as a society have lost the ability to disagree with one another civilly and intellectually. It's about time we're getting a hockey team here in Seattle. It's just one more piece to a nearly complete sports puzzle. We've come a long way from where we were 25 or 30 years ago as a sports town. Now we just need a baseball team that can win, and an NBA team back in town. Dick Baird discusses all things Dawgs before his Coach's Corner show later tonight.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Are we okay with this? / Will this be a breakthrough year? / Carroll on Ansah / George Fant
Sometimes it doesn't take much for a fanbase to freak out. Are Dawg fans panicking over the lack of an official declaration of a starting quarterback. Obviously the assumption is Eason, but Coach Petersen isn't ready to make that call for one reason or another. Are we okay with Petersen's choice to not make the call here? Do we have enough confidence in his decision making? Today's Seahawks Topic of the Day: Will this be a breakthrough year for either of the Hawks' starting corners? Pete Carroll commented on Ansah earlier today. He continues to show confidence that he'll be ready by the regular season. Maybe this is his way of giving Ansah a little nudge. Softy caught up with George Fant at the VMAC today. Was his kid really out there signing autographs?
