Dawne Knoch Anthony was in an abusive marriage justified by religion. She got out and now gives back to the community to help others.

A survivor of domestic abuse and religious trauma, Dawne has redefined her life with resilience and strength. After growing up in a conservative religious family, Dawne experienced domestic abuse while homeschooling her 9 children. Dawne is now an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and religious trauma, raising funds for domestic violence shelters through recitals.In this episode, Dawne shares her riveting tale of escape.
