November 08, 2019Larry Wilkins Volunteers to Change LivesOn November 9, a special ceremony Alberta's Government House in Edmonton saw Canada's Governor General, Julie Payette, awarding the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers to Larry Wilkins. Larry has been an entrepreneur, successfully running a spa business for many years but in 2012, he started to look at giving back. His upbringing as a First Nations kid played a big role in benefiting a First Nations school near Ponoka, and his efforts to raise money to build a new high school is the reason he's been honoured.
