Reflecting on the sin of faction, Fr. Ambrose Dobrozsi reminds us of our individual and collective need for humility and trust. He says: “God does not delay. He is constantly active and working to make us holy and bring us safely into heaven.”

"It is in the doing that the miracle occurs," says Fr. Tony Cutcher. He's referring, of course, to all of the miracles that occur (whether we notice them or not) while we're following God's commands. He adds: "This is why we come each week, to give thanks to God for the miracles that have happened in our life and to experience the best miracle of all: his physical presence in our midst, in our lives."

"Ingratitude does to the soul what leprosy does to the body." This is how Fr. Ambrose opens a beautiful reflection on the gospel account of Christ's healing of the lepers. Emphasizing the depth and debt of spiritual gratitude, he says: "True gratitude is worship."

"What has the Lord done for you that you should spontaneously grateful?" Fr. Joseph reflects on this question as contemplates what it means to "lift up" our hearts. He places an emphasis on true joy and genuine gratitude.

Christianity can't be reduced to a formula (pay, pray, and obey). It's an active faith. It's about loving God and our neighbor. Reflecting on this, Fr. Tony Cutcher implores his flock: "You're the one who has to grow and nourish your faith. And you do that in a relationship with Jesus — not just following rules but a true relationship."

What does it mean to have faith as a mustard seed? Fr. Joseph Kindel dives into this question. He says: "We have to know our need for God's compassion but then believe that we have received it, that He has set us free from our sins."

Catholics are called to be as Christ to the world. Fr. Ambrose Dobrozsi emphasizes the power of leaning into our Catholic identity as he examines our modern culture. He says: “When it’s done well, it’s attractive to people. It shows them that there is life, that this longing they have for meaning, for acceptance, can be found in the Catholic Church…”

It's an interesting proposition: take the skill-set used to make money and apply it to the currency of love. What would the return on investment look like? Fr. Tony Cutcher reflects on this, saying: “As we move about our lives, we have to think about the fact: how are we using the gifts that God has given us? Are we maximizing our profit and minimizing our loss with the love of God?"

You can only serve one master with your whole heart. This is the central them of Fr. Ambrose Dobrozsi's brilliant reflection on God's law, justice, mercy, and love. He says: "When we lose sight of what God is seeking to do — the height of the holiness He's calling us to and the wonderful gift of joy that He has in store for us in Heaven — and instead we turn to other masters, to pleasure in this life, it becomes so easy to sell out for a short-term benefit and to wreak great harm as a result."

Getting through the narrow gate [to Heaven] might be a difficult mission, but it's not an impossible one. Fr. Joseph Kindel reflects on this, saying: "Part of the strategy of getting to Heaven involves using our resources, which are given to us by God...We are given gifts in order to help other people get to Heaven."
