To proclaim Christ as our King throughout every moment of every day seems a daunting task. Deacon Bob Gutendorf reflects on this, saying: "In every moral decision we face, there is a choice to be made — we can be like the good thief and choose Christ as our king or we can be like the unrepentant thief who reviled and mocked our Lord."

Breaking down the Gospel reading of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, Fr. Tony Cutcher reflects on our need to be honest about our actions and our motivations. He says: "This is the prayer that we pray: Lord Jesus, have mercy on me, a sinner. For if we recognize our own sinfulness, we are drawing closer to Christ rather than being justified in our own minds."
