Another month and another report of about the shifting tone of the DC extended universe films. This time it comes from Jeff Bewkes, Time Warner CEO. Bewkes recently discussed the success of recent DC films in an investor conference and praised the financial and fan response to the film. He did note, though, that they hope for future films to be received better critically and that a lighter tone may help.

The Suicide Squad album has recently been certified gold by the RIAA. Tom and Zac discuss the music of Suicide Squad, Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

On this Tuesday edition of the drop, the guys discuss some news in the DC TV world. The highlight is the debut of The CW's Supergirl Season 2 "Sky" Trailer. The trailer shows the first look of Tyler Hoechlin in action as Superman and gives us our first look at Season 2.

In other news, Gotham and Lucifer made their season debuts on Fox last night. Gotham Season 3 debuted at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and was followed by the Season 2 premiere of Lucifer at 9 p.m.

There is also big news for fans of The CW's superhero universe. Beginning this fall, fans of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will be able to stream those shows for free on The CW app. The app will be made available for Roku, Chromecast, Airplay, Apple TV, Xbox, Amazon Fire TV, Android, and IOS.
