SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #332 - Arrow 5x15 - Fighting Fire With Fire | Recap & Review

Mayor Queen is in danger of being impeached.  The city council commences a hearing on the subject and it’s not looking good, according to Adrian.  After Oliver is attacked leaving the hearing, the rest of the team takes to the streets after Vigilante.  That all fails, but a fight between Vigilante and Prometheus later would seem to give us a dead Vigilante and a Prometheus that’s actually Adrian Chase.  Well, Vigilante makes it somehow and ends up fighting the team in another Oliver assassination attempt, but Curtis, who has T-Spheres now, pulls it together and kinda wins for once.  Meanwhile, Thea descends into blackmail and eventually resigns because she doesn’t like the direction she’s heading in.  Susan’s reputation is restored, giving her another chance to maybe trust Oliver, but she might be kidnapped by Adrian anyway.  A very eager Curtis rushes to meet Paul only to be handed divorce papers.  And Felicity officially joins the Hacktivism gang she’s been flirting with, so HELIX is probably more powerful than ever.  Back in Russian, Anatoli challenges Gregor to some Russian word that basically means who does the crew really stand behind.  They have one hour before the showdown and Oliver uses it to prove that Gregor has been taking Rubles from Kovar, which sways the vote in Anatoli’s favor.  The whole thing still ends in a shoot-out so, you know……

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #331 - The Flash 3x14 - Attack on Central City | Recap & Review

The attack on Central City is on.  Grodd’s army is knocking at the door,  and it’s causing trouble.  He has  sent Gypsy over already and she attacks the team. Harry puts her down and they put her in the vault.  Barry starts thinking he’s Oliver, and wondering if he should just kill Grodd once and for all, but Harry reminds him that he is an inspiration and there’s always another way.  Anyway, Grodd’s first plan is to deploy nukes, being that he can use a general as an avatar, but the Flash disarms the bombs with moments left.  That plan failing, Grodd descends upon the city, preparing to wreak havoc.  But Vibe and a reluctant Gypsy have retrieved Solovar from Earth 2 and promised to sequester Grodd if Solovar takes him out without lethal force.  Solovar succeeds and the Earth 2 Gorilla army marches back through Vibe and Gypsy portals to their home.  To finish up, Vibe realizes he wants to marry Gypsy, Harry bids farewell and asks Wally to treat Jesse well on Earth 1, and Barry finally asks Iris to marry him.  Also, Jesse asks Wally to pick up a Big Belly Burger,  and Wally instead finds himself a big helping of Savitar.

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #330 - Supergirl 2x14 - Homecoming | Recap & Review\

The DEO gets a tip on a CADMUS weapon transport/super bomb and Supergirl and J’onn head out to intervene.  They stop the caravan and find that the cargo is Jeremiah Danvers, who is grateful to be rescued and returned to his home and the DEO.  The family is really pumped about this but Mon El questions the timing of their fortune, and alienates most of the crew.  He recruits Winn and, after a lot of very offensive investigations and confrontations, eventually convinces everyone that Jeremiah is still working for CADMUS after Jeremiah tries to sabotage the DEO and beats the crap out of J’onn.  Alex and Supergirl try to track Lilian, Super-Hank and Cyber-Jeremiah, but Supergirl is forced to save a train full of people, and Alex just can’t bring herself to shoot her pops so the last of the trio escapes.  Later, at CADMUS HQ we see Super-Hank finishing a Super-flare-fueled bomb that might have something to do with the National Alien Registry Jeremiah managed to steal.  Heartbroken, Alex has a few drinks and talks to Maggie.  Also heartbroken, Kara has a quick cuddle with Mon El, which is touching, because she’s been mad at him about not listening but he’s going to now.

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #326 - Legends of Tomorrow - Camelot/3000 | Recap & Review

Rip makes a quick run to the future to confront and murder Dr Midnite, giving him the 2nd of 4 pieces of the Spear of Destiny.  The Legends, who arrive too late to intervene, find the aftermath and a neat piece of mind control tech.  Their next stop is Camelot, which it turns out is real.  Stargirl has carefully influenced this time period so that it becomes the Camelot of Legend, where she is hiding herself as Merlin and the 3rd spear piece as the sword in the stone.  The Legends arrive and quickly befriend the Round Table in general but Rip and Damien show up with a mind-controlled King Arthur and threaten to kill the king if the spear piece isn’t delivered to them.  After much debate, Stargirl does eventually hand the piece over to Vixen, seemingly avoiding the need for the Legends to participate in a doomed defense of Camelot.  But Ray is just too inspired to help himself and refuses to leave the kingdom behind.  Eventually, the rest of the team decides they have to help Ray and Camelot as well.  After Jax discovers the way to use the mind control tech they found earlier, Rory focuses his years of personal torment into the device, which destroys the tech keeping Rip’s army subservient to him.  Arthur seemingly slays Rip on the battlefield and Damien leaves him for dead.  Sara, however, saves him, which may be a bad idea because Gideon still responds to Captain Rip, even if he’s evil.

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #325 - The Flash 3x13 - Attack on Gorilla City | Recap & Review

Harry has been captured by Grodd on Earth 2 so Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and Julian set off to rescue him.  Barry demands Jesse Quick stay behind to help Wally protect Earth 1.  There’s initially some tension there between her and Wally, but in the end they work it out and Jesse realizes, with HR’s help, that she’s prepared to stay on Earth 1 with Wally.  On Earth 2, the gang immediately gets kidnapped, and it appears Grodd needed Barry to defeat Solovar for him in a gladiator-style battle.  Barry does, but refuses to kill Solovar, because humans are peaceful.  Grodd, who had promised the gang refuge, betrays them and promises instead to kill them to make a point.  With few options left, Caitlin freezes Barry just enough to make him appear dead so that Grodd will lose track of his dampening and pull him out of the cage.  Barry promptly warms up and saves everyone, including Harry.  They make a run for it, and vibe back to Earth 1.  But lo, the forward-thinking Grodd had a back-up plan, as it appears Gypsy is under his thumb and ready to open the doorway for a Gorilla invasion of Central City, fulfilling yet another prophecy.

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #324 - Supergirl 2x13 - Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk | Recap & Review

Mr Mxyzptlk is out to get him a Supergirl.  He comes bearing promises of showing her the world, but she’s not into it.  Mon El, who has seen 5th dimensional beings before, is feeling a little more hostile about this intrusion.  Supergirl swears that she can take care of the little imp, but Mon El steals some 5th dimensional tech to challenge Mxy on his own.  He fails, and Kara swears that she and Mon El are fundamentally wrong for each other.  She also agrees to marry Mxy, but only if it’s done at the Fortress of Solitude.  When Mxy arrives she explains that she will never marry him, and has set off a bomb that will destroy them both.  He pleads that the world needs Supergirl, and she reluctantly agrees to let him disarm the bomb, which is a ploy to get him to spell his name backwards which banishes him back to the 5th dimension.  Elsewhere, Winn has found a feisty woman from Starhaven to take a chance with, and Maggie overcomes her Valentine’s trauma to make a special moment for Alex.  Finally, a humble Mon El admits he was wrong,  and Kara admits she was lying about whether they could be together.  Then they appear to get very together.
