  • Totes My Scapegoats | Episode 47

We all use our significant others as a scapegoat from time to time, either as an excuse or to shift blame. We shouldn't but everyone does! We complain about this common place misuse of couple power as our spouses have used us as scapegoats. We also talk about all things goats, including pygmy goats and goat yoga before getting into some intense goat related murders. One of which involves a man claiming he believe his wife was a goat when he carved her up, later blaming the devil of course. Another attempted murder involves the herbal aphrodisiac "Horny Goat Weed." Things get weird as we talk about using goats for body disposal and horny goat weed overdose to induce breathing problems that could be an easy Covid Coverup. Stick with us on this goat filled journey.

  • Criminal Psychology With Dr. Jane | Episode 46

Laura and Jeremy welcome Special Guest Dr. Jane of the Why Killers Kill Podcast. Dr. Jane is a practiced expert in the field of criminal psychology. She has worked in her field over 15 years with victims and perpetrators of crimes including sex offenders, fraudsters, and murderers.  Dr. Jane shares her knowledge and experience with us as we discuss signs in early marriage that things are not working out, managing expectations between partners, how the little things can tip one over the edge, major stressors and the impact on a relationship and much more.

She also validated that it is normal for individuals to have dark fantasies and our Hypo-Murders are merely creative as long as the thoughts do not generate any actions. See, we are "normal" ...

  • Moving On Out | Episode 45

Moving can be a stressful activity on a good day. Both of us have moved a few times, and while Laura complains about her husbands lack of packing skills Jeremy complains that his wife won't up and leave to Alaska...can we really blame her though? We get into some gritty details on a vacuum wrapped corpse packaged up so good it mummified and a father figure who could not let go when his friend asked him to move out and stop touching her daughter, so he killed her. Our hypo-murders are just as disturbingly gruesome, including more vacuum sealing and a lift gate accident with crushing consequences. Happy trails!

  • Annoying Habits | Episode 44

Annoying habits wear on all of us. This week Jeremy complains about his wife's casual sarcasm. Laura talks about her husband's need to "poke the bear" after an argument. We get into some very relevant murders about death over sarcastic dinner comments and the murder of a man who would not let his wife leave after a blowout argument. We conclude the episode with our hypo-murders about a snake in a sleeping bag!! (where did that come from) and a mafia setup gone wrong. Enjoy, commiserate, and love your spouse because despite their annoying habits, they have many more good ones.

  • 'Merica | Episode 43
This year's fourth of July celebration comes with mixed emotions. Borrowing from a Langston Hughes quote...
"O, let America be America again —
The land that never has been yet —
And yet must be--the land where every man is free."
Laura and Jeremy talk about freedom and control in relationships and how it can turn to murder on either end. We of course share some fourth of July themed murders with exploding barbecues and automobile fireworks triggered in a car wash. We hit every range of emotions this week as Laura coins the phrase "Don't shit where you eat. Don't murder where you sleep." You're welcome world.

  • Forget Me Not | Episode 42

Forgetfulness is a pet peeve in marriage that plagues many. Who has not heard, "I will put it away later," or "I will get to it..." but IT never happens. Laura and Jeremy discuss while drinking some lemon infused drinks, Laura shares her hot Cheeto and peanut butter pregnancy craving, and we dig into two murders where forgetfulness turned into murder. One forgetful husband forgot his wife's 45th birthday...the last birthday he will ever forget. Another husband managed to keep his promise which ended with the death of his ailing wife. We plot some hypo-murders with juicy, moist pickles and chronic overnight food-borne illness. Join us with some strange food, sad stories, and pickle juice this week.

  • Sleep Tight | Episode 41

Couples face many struggles, one of which is simply SLEEP. Laura and Jeremy discuss pet peeves about their spouses waking them up late at night and falling asleep on the sofa and having to be dragged up stairs. Jeremy shares a list of pregnancy complaints that have made many a pregnant wife contemplate murder to give Laura the floor for some justified complaining. Laura then digs into a Belfast woman whose husband snored so loud it shook the windows. After 23 years...it became too much. Jeremy describes another murder from the UK where a man couldn't handle his wifes late night snacking, complaining, and leaving the light on which led to him attempting to take her life. The episode concludes with some fantastical hypothetical murders involving booby trapped bedrooms and bulldozer fatalities. Listen, enjoy, and don't fall asleep too early this week on Death Do Us Part.

  • Surprise Me | Episode 40

The age old spousal dispute "What do you want from the store?" ... "Surprise Me!" That's right this week we are talking about spouses depending on the other to remember their favorite foods, remembering to pick up a treat for them, or even remember their fast food order! The other phrase that is so often heard not long before an argument begins is "You know what I like..." Laura and Jeremy discuss both sides of the Surprise Me trope that some see as a trap and others see as common sense. We talk about our spouses tendencies to fail at bringing home an adequate surprise or overthinking the entire situation. We get into some surprising murders, one with an attempted banana pudding poisoning and a surprise funeral ending when the spouse thought to be dead shows up after the guests leave. This episode is full of surprises including a couple of hypo-murders with poisoned frozen bananas and exploding candles. Surprise!!

  • Adult Swim | Episode 39

Another day with pandemic restriction means another day of missing normal summer things, like swimming. While Laura & Jeremy remember the good times of being able to swim at a public pool they also complain about their spouses inability to put sunscreen on their "wonder bread" skin, horseplay that gives kids dangerous ideas, the full hour it takes them to get in the pool, and of course Skinny Dipping! Lots to complain about between their two relationships and the pool but nothing as bad as the pool related murders they discuss. Laura shares a truly brutal murder with a dead dog and wife that end up in the pool. Jeremy shares a shocking tale about a man who even 20 years later claims he was sleepwalking when he stabbed his wife 44 times and drowned her in a pool. This is one crazy episode that ends with some hypothetical murder plots with chlorine fumes and pool drain hair traps. Grab a drink with non-chlorinated water and enjoy Death Do Us Part.

  • Til Nagging Do Us Part | Episode 38

This week we discuss the quintessential NAG. We all do it, relationships come apart because of them, and yes sometimes it can even lead to murder.  Laura and Jeremy complain about the slow painful nag, the long con of nags. As well as nagging to get stuff you want, the incessant nag. Conversation of course devolved into a Friday the 13th Conception Story...They then share a murder about a 56 year marriage that ended in murder over constant nagging! Followed by a  crazy murder with a heroine overdose that just does not add up. Wrapping this up with an herbacide induced hypo-murder as well as a tragic stair fall that would be easy to pass off as accidental. There is a lot going on this week so enjoy!
