Inspired by Jeremy's son barging in on last weeks podcast recording, Laura and Jeremy complain about Doors! Laura complains about Nick's misuse of every door in the house. Jeremy complains that Keli doesn't close the doors with child locks, so what is the point of the child lock? We get into a tragic murder of a woman whose body was hidden in a cupboard for 15 months and the sad story of the Peephole murder where a beloved mom fell victim to gang violence. Our hypomurders wrap it all up with a Roomba trip and fall accident turns fatal with the use of a dishwasher. We also get medieval with a crossbow inspired peephole murder of our own.

We complain about when our spouses make us late for work, or create unnecessary stress during the dreaded morning routine. Despite getting up early with their youngest, Jeremy is still rushing to his desk to make it to work on time each morning. Laura's husband on the other hand goes in when their son wakes up and ends up falling asleep in his toddler bed making them all run late for the morning routine. We share some Mom blog posts about why men take so long in the bathroom and a scary short reddit story about what women are REALLY doing when they take an hour to get ready. One of our murders made a wife miss work because she had to drive her dead lover up north before her murderous husband forced her to decapitate the body. Our other murder is about a woman who was forced to write her suicide note by her husband who set the alarm for 7am to kill her...but she woke up just a tad bit earlier than him. Finally, we get into our hypomurders with a dead battery jump start electric death, and a poison to simulate a heart attack and a crazy alarm to incite it. We get complicated this week on Death Do Us Part!

Laura and Jeremy talk birthday parties, especially kids birthday parties and how other people don't watch their kids so you have to watch them all? RIght?! It is always someone else, never you, but that one person whose kids are unholy terrors and they just hurt all the other kids while their parents laugh, ignore them and drink beer. Yeah....we get in deep on party complaints and then dive into a murder at a kids party place called Jump 'n Jam as well as a man who threw his wife a death party that include drugs, sex, and rock n roll. Oh what a way to go out. We wrap it all up with a Jolly Jump hypo-murder set up to look like an accident and a Covid virtual party coverup.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! This week we talk recycling and trash pet peeves. Like leaving all of the recyclables on the counter and not taking them out, or not breaking down massive boxes that fill up the entire recycle can. We talk about some trash related murders including the mysterious death of Lara Prychodko who fell down a trash chute and the murder of Ingrid Lyne whose body was found in multiple trash cans. We wrap it all up with hypo-murders involving battery acid and Crystalline Silica induced respiratory complications. Remember to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle...and also to not murder!

This week Laura and Jeremy complain about some work from home pet peeves that we are all now feeling in this pandemic. Laura's husband is the "Great Interrupter" asking all sorts of questions in the middle of her workday while Jeremy's wife is the "Stinky Interrupter" as when their son is let in his office to say hi he most assuredly needs a diaper change. Laura shares a murder of a Covid researcher who was killed at home as part of a love triangle, but internet conspiracies believe there is way more behind this work from home murder. Jeremy shares a decade old work from home murder by a paranoid delusional husband in Australia in which after 10 years in court determined their company was liable and paid out half a million in death benefits to their children. Of course this is all wrapped up with some work from home murders involving a staged fall off a ladder on to a sprinkler and an electified doorknob. Stay safe and sane while working from home everyone!

While neither of us have experience with divorce, this is a majorly stressful time for couples ending their relationship. It is often a time of un-reciprocated feeling, people escaping bad situations, or a relationship that has simply come to an end. Laura shares some bizarre reasons some people have decided to get a divorce, including a man who was astonished the first time he saw his wife without makeup, a man who was TOO well endowed...ouch, and a husband who gabbed too much and couldn't keep a secret. Whatever the reason we always stand firm in our belief that divorce is a much better option than murder. Laura and Jeremy both share two murders that were covered up by their spouses as missing person cases during moments of marital struggle that was already headed towards divorce. We then share some hypothetical murders with poisonous lipstick and 50 shades of grey torture

It has been one year of podcasting for Laura and Jeremy and they are enjoying podcasting and sharing their passion for true crime and relationship complaints! We hope everyone has enjoyed our first 50 episodes and we look forward to bringing you 50 more in our second year! In honor of anniversaries, Laura and Jeremy talk anniversary gifts, paper, copper, wool, you name it! We get into two anniversary murders, including the Engelbrecht anniversary argument that led to a family shooting. They also dive REAL deep into the controversial anniversary murder of Jim Melgar whose wife was found tied up and locked in a separate room but convicted with ONLY circumstantial evidence. Theories fly as we discuss what could have happened and express our baffled reactions to these crazy cases. We rap it up with two hypothetical murders with a poisoned date box and an 8th anniversary pottery disaster.

Since the weather is unbearably hot out lately Laura and Jeremy discuss air conditioner related pet peeves. Laura coins the phrase "Too young to die but too old for tiktok" (unrelated to the theme but brilliant). We get into some A/C inspired murders including one that comes straight out of a horror movie using the air conditioner to cover up a murder. Two other stories are shared about firearm assaults over a thermostat and an A/C unit. One ends with multiple gunshot wounds, the other is a bullet straight to an estranged husbands nuts. Is it justified? you be the judge. We wrap it up with a falling death trap A/C window unit and a sauna gone haywire.

This week we talk driving pet peeves, including poor co-pilots and road rage! We cover an Uber murder that is almost as unbelievable to us as it was to the murderer and a poorly placed shot caused by road rage that led to a murdered husband and plenty of conspiracy theories. We conclude with a myth from China called Hit to Kill which we use for a hypo-murder and a road rage conspiracy of our own. If you are listening to this while you drive remember to keep calm and drive safe.
