Whether a mother or a father there is reason to celebrate! Moms, grab some wine. Dads, get your beer. We are talking Mother and Father's day murders. We talk about late gifts, spoiling surprises, and not getting to do what YOU want on "your day." Funny how that often happens. We then get into Laura's Smorgasbord of the scariest moms of all time and Jeremy's double homicide fathers day murder by an estranged father. It is never good when the story starts off with estranged... We wrap up with a marble choking hypothetical murder for Father's Day breakfast and a staged mining accident inspired by the very first Father's day in 1908. Yeah, that's right we used history for murder.

This week we talk about drugs. Obviously drugs can tear apart relationships and families. It is often tragic and terrible. While we are fortunate not to have any pet peeves related to drugs we do have some stories to share about drinking! We also share some other unbelievable stories about a girl who's ex-boyfriend used her to lure a drug dealer to his death. We also discuss a pill popping nurse who killed her husband because she thought he was leaving her but it turns out he was just trying to stage an intervention to get her to stop. Like we said, some sad stories! Speaking of sad, we share hypothetical murders involving cocaine laced fun dip and a plot inspired by the Chicago Tylenol murders. Take a trip with us this week, just don't do drugs! At least...not any illegal drugs.

Work sucks...but man can it make marriage even more stressful! This week we talk work stress and how it can put a strain on relationships. From not getting the support when you work a 100 hour workweek (that was not a typo). Or coming home after a long day to the chaos of screaming kids and a mess of toys. We then get into the murder of a man who changed his career to be home with his wife until he fell through a rooftop and needed care in recovery. Yeah that was too much work for his wife so...she killed him. We also talk about the medieval thinking of one man who killed his wife for being a caretaker of old men, because in this words it was not Halal for her to do that...but murder is? Our hypothetical murders are both plotted around working late nights to avoid being in the bedroom. One TikTok inspired murder uses spiders as a fatal punishment while the other uses carbon monoxide.

Look behind you!? April fools, its just us doing a podcast on April fools day pranks that grind our gears. Like fake pregnancy announcements, how about fake death announcements, or even a fake mass shooting call to the police on April 1st of this year? Or how about just all hurtful pranks, just knock it off children. We get into all of these complaints before sharing a wanna be April Fools prank that killed a roommate and led to this college students execution. We also share the story of a ding dong ditch that led to a car chase and a massive collision that killed three teenagers. See?! Pranks aren't good. But we do create some hypothetical murders using clingwrap as an asphyxiation prank and bleach in the gas tank that could lead to a fiery explosion. Spring is in the air and we are talking about a very normal springtime activity, gardening! What could we have to complain about with gardening? Well how about one of our spouses brining home 1,200 pounds of dirt to fill in ONE planter and having 20 bags leftover. Or the other spouse laying blame for not watering when they are clearly both at fault. We then detail two garden murders, one a vanishing husband who was later found in the garden under the herbs and his wife claimed he committed suicide 2 months prior! No...his name was not Herbert, it was Benny. The other is about an alibi stating his wife fell on a corn rake...when she clearly had more than one set of puncture wounds. Our hypomurders are not quite as transparent with one using a couple of the 20 leftover bags of dirt to crush a skull and the other an amoeba found in soil that can quite literally liquify someone's brain. You...just have to listen.

While we run our own March Madness contest we figured we may as well talk basketball! We share some basketball thoughts about how if you spend time on the court you better spend time with your wife! Also don't play basketball in the house and break shit...oh too late for one of our spouses. We then share two basketball murders, both with the last name "Wright," but totally separate. One is a murder for hire and the other a murder over money between lifelong friends. We have attempted drugging's, hitmen, and even an axe murderer. Somehow it all relates to basketball. Our hypothetical murders include a wind event that ends with a basketball hoop falling on a wife and an insulin induced heart attack. This week we start off with some technical difficulties that leads to us talking about leaving stuff in the cart when you leave the store. Then we get into some Saint Patrick's Day complaints, I mean really what is it with this holiday, the drinking, the craziness. Come on folks. We share a terrible murder cause by a suicidal divorcee who drove the wrong way on the freeway to kill herself after drinking too much on St. Pattie's Day. We also explore a day in the life of a police department dealing with St. Patrick's day in St. Louis...a night with 11 people shot and 3 dead. This holiday is not proving to be lucky for many, and as such we share our Hypomurders with a staged drunk driving mishap and a Corned Beef and Cabbage crockpot that kills. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Don't drink and drive the wrong way.

A common marital problem doesn't even have to be directly between significant others, sometimes it is the in-laws who are at the heart of an issue. This week we talk about common marital problems that arise from in-laws. Merging two families together can be tough, and rarely if ever is everyone happy. This is the case with the murders we share this week where a widow kills her father-in-law and posts it on social media because he drove her husband to suicide. We also share the story of a wife accused of being impregnated by her father-in-law (that's twisted), which ends in her killing her accusatory mother-in-law with an iron rod. Marriage can be messy...and in-laws don't always help. Our hypothetical murders include an in-law frame job as well as a fake your own death scenario to escape in-law troubles. We hope your in-laws are better than the one's in our stories....but that is a low bar.
