Welcome to a very special part 1 of a double episode of Decoding 40 reporting from Lisbon Portugal. The guys discuss the first half of their vacation as they talk about everything from the food, the wine, and the local nightlife scene. Now, it wouldn't be Decoding40 if we didn't have a new installment of This Week in Racism, Lisbon edition. The crew visited a local restaurant, but we were turned away even though it didn't close for another hour. Was this bad timing or was the racism train right on time? Welcome back to another episode of Decoding 40! The podcast is now picking up streams in St. Louis. Thanks to everyone in the Gateway to the West who took the time to listen to the show and share in the love.
This week the guys go down memory lane after talking about the newly released streamable albums from one of our favorite hip-hop groups, De La Soul. After the untimely death of Dave Jolicoeur aka Trugoy the Dove aka Plug 2. May he continue to rest in peace.
Leon enjoys his last 40 multi-vitamin on his 50th birthday and then finds himself in full New Yorker mode when he mistakenly hockey-checks a 12-year-old. Vin travels four hours to Washington DC just to get his passport renewed because the renewal application he submitted three months ago was still “in process” and the big trip abroad is a week away. Did he get the passport though? And, Rick's daughter gets sick at dance class and doesn't know why, but after further investigation, he finds out that it might have something to do with some snacks she snuck.
Next, we have another installment of For the Love of Money. This week's question: would you date a 70-something billionaire woman when you were 19?
