Social Media in the last few years has been full of conversations regarding deconstruction. Many people are talking about it from many different angles. Conversations about deconstruction seem to be ubiquitous. There are so many articles, so many social media links, and so many sermon series, dedicated to critiquing existing theological traditions, church platforms, or Christian public figures. It's not a new word or idea by any means, but it sure feels like "deconstruction" is the new, trendy word in Christian circles today. You have certain people who like things the way they are and who see deconstruction as either threatening or others with demo tools in hand that see it as a modern reformation. This arduous journey could take one to a deeper walk and foundation with the Lord or leave one shipwrecked. As witnessed today, although We have gotten pretty good at deconstructing our faith, and our belief system… building it back up is a whole other story. In this episode of KEEP IT 100, we will explore the roots of this tendentious subject, hit upon the 2 types of deconstruction, and distinguish between the positive and negative.
