The construction industry is probably the mecca of the "jobs that can't be done by women," which is a massive part of the conversation about gender equality. However, feminine presence in the trades has increased recently due to society's rejection of outdated biases and tech evolution.

In this episode, I'm joined by a true legacy builder, Louis "LJ" Fisher III. He is the Vice President of Operations at Cell-Crete Corporation, a third-generation family-owned construction business. Louis was lucky enough to work with his father and his grandfather, Cell-Crete's founder. Putting together the best of the two worlds, Louis added his fresh and renewed energy to the company, focusing on safety, implementing new technology, and using diversity and inclusion to bring new perspectives and a variety of skill sets.

Throughout our conversation, Louis shares his thoughts on how it is to run a third-generation family business, the changes that took part in the company and the construction industry throughout the years, and the labor shortage. We also discuss the increase of women working in the construction industry and debunk the myths about the jobs that "women can't do" in construction.
