Des Bishop Podcast

This episode is a collection of stories and opinions. First I share my feelings on the upcoming referendum on the 8th amendment and share a story about the time I was confronted by Youth Defence. The second story is about how I met a mennonite on the plane to Calgary last week. There are also some random thoughts about Good Friday drinking and Donald Trump.

Just me sitting in my car on my own musing about how I hear so much about anxiety nowadays and wondering if I have struggled with myself.

Just me chatting about the discussion that has arisen from the Aziz Ansari story in Babe.com. The main focus is about consent and how we need to be clear on what consent is. Some fun stuff also about trying to make women happier sexually and a movement to ban the claw.

A super fun chat with Matteo Lane. Matteo is such a funny comic and a lovely guy. We are just having the craic in my car before his set at the comedy cellar. He does a wicked Alan Carr impression as well as a sad Liza Minelli. Join us for a light hearted end of the year.

Great chat with comedian and my longtime friend Jessica Delfino about the difficulties of being a mother, all the anxiety that goes with it, mom shaming, fears and germs.

Just my thoughts on the last few days. I was too frustrated not to unload while driving home this evening so I grabbed the mic and puked some thoughts up. Hope you don't mind.

One of my all time favorite comics, Colin Quinn is my guest this week. An Irish American legend, he is heading to Dublin for the Vodafone Comedy Festival. We chatted about the old NY, his broadway shows and why he never made it to Ireland until now.

I chatted with Karl Chandler who is a Melbourne based comic and writer for various television shows in Australia. He also runs some great comedy nights in Melbourne and I wanted to chat to him about the stress of being the comedian and the booker. We also chatted about his new show where he gets a comedian to heckle him throughout the show. We finished with a great chat about podcasting as he has a successful podcast called the Little Dum Dum Club.
