  • Stephen Mullan: Son of a Preacher Man
Great chat with Comedian Stephen Mullan about his unique childhood growing up in a baptist family. His Father was a minister of a baptist church but he grew up in a council estate in Co.Cork. We also chat about his difficult adolescence which lead to hospitalization and recovery. Now on the other end of that time he chats about the journey to stand up and his even more important role as husband and father. Super interesting story.

  • The Dead Mom's Club with Karl Spain
To get the podcast back up and running I decided I would chat to Karl Spain about dealing with the loss of a mother. He had lost his Mom back in the early days of our comedy careers and I wanted to ask him about dealing with grief. We also chatted a lot about finding humour in loss. Sice the last episode was just after my mom died I thought this would be a good link to getting back in the game.

  • 5 Days after my mom died
I just decided to record where I was at 5 days after my mother died. I had recorded an episode on the shift podcast the night my mom died and I was happy to have a record of how I felt that night. I was feeling a bit more exhausted but I couldn't sleep when I recorded this after the funeral was done and the quietness had begun.

Des and Katie Boyle are trying to figure out if its a good idea to do an Irish Sex and dating podcast. This is sort of a trial run that is going up on the Des Bishop podcast but perhaps will become its own thing.

  • The end of pubic hair and other sex related questions part 1
Today is part 1 of a 2 part episode where I am asking some questions around sex. Some are related to trying to understand how to be better lovers and some are related to what is right or wrong in certain situations. I have left a lot of questions open and I am hoping for feedback on Social Media which I will discuss on part 2 of the episode tomorrow.

  • More on guns and some boarding school memories.
I chat about arming teachers and why I think that is a terrible idea. I then have a good ramble about why people's beliefs and there association with their identity makes it difficult to change. I also have some thoughts about being in a boarding school that became part of one of biggest sexual abuse scandals in Ireland.

It was the 7th anniversary of my Father's death this week. This is a chat with myself having a think about the grieving process. In Ireland my Father's death was very public and I was very open about it afterwards. 7 years later, what do I think of it all now. Is there a right way to grieve? Did I do it wrong. The recent honesty series of the podcast continues.
