Jackie is one of my heroes.  Yes, she has been sober for 15 years but she has taken AA (The Program) and the 12 steps and learned how to live life "staying on her side of the street"... no BS with Jackie.  

She was really an alcoholic...deep into it and is one of those amazing people who turned their lives around.  Her life is an example for all of us.  She is also my niece and best friend.

A few years ago I went to a party on Central Park West to see the end of the New York City Marathon...I was so excited to see the runners...BUT I met June...and was so drawn to her and her love of life and quest for knowledge of all sorts...that I never I saw the runners and have been enjoying our friendship and learning about her life, past present and future...

We have been meeting about once a week and I treasure the time..  You will too... Listen to June..It just might change your life.

When I went into OLD MILL Wine and Spirits, in Rhinebeck,  I felt like I was in a private wine cellar...The gentleman who owns this special, one of a kind store is Charles Derbyshire...Quite a name and Quite a guy...  He was funny, welcoming and knew far more about liquor than anyone I had ever known.  Not just your run of the mill store with the well known bottles lined up...

This was a whole new world for me...and not the most expensive...it is the best, most interesting... 

So, of course, I HAD to interview Charles on anything he wanted to talk about...and it was about his life, careers, family, love of music...I could go on and on... But better yet, listen to this episode... And here he is NOW..CHARLES DERBYSHIRE.

Paul Rodney Turner might be one of the most remarkable people I will ever know.  He has written a book (available on Amazon) named THE FOOD YOGA.  He co-founded FOOD FOR LIFE GLOBAL which is responsible for feeding 6.5 BILLION meals and continues to serve every day.  They are in 60 countries and there are 211 different outlets globally.  The food is plant based which means that they can feed so many more people.  You have to listen to this, you have to pass it along to your friends.  

Paul was a monk from age 19 through 33.  He cooked and fed people, he learned how care, what is important in this life.  One of his jobs in life is that he is a true humanitarian...

You just met this nice person.  You know their dog's name, you know where they live, where they went to school, where they work and... OOOPS  you cannot remember their name.   OR, you see a friend's wife and your stomach drops to your knees because you have no idea what her name is...oh no.  Usually, I remember the dog's name and not the person who is on the other side of the leash.  Well, among other talents and delights, Brent teaches how to remember names easily.  It is a skill and this is  not just for the "elders".  I met Brent and we started talking and I couldn't wait to interview him.  I couldn't wait to share with you his many interests, talents, his kindness and humor and here he is now..BRENT SVERDLOFF.  Author of  "HOW COULD I FORGET YOU".

Scot has been giving back and caring for young men and women in underserved communities for a long time.  2 programs he has launched are "WHY WE KNEEL" and "COPS AND KIDS"...He has made a difference!!  His CAMP POWER summer camp has grown to over 200 kids.  He gives respect, humor, great music and is a brilliant role model...  I am so blessed to know Scot...you will be too!  Now more than ever we need leaders for young people who makes a place for them in this world...  Listen and pass along, and support him and the young men and women who might otherwise have fallen through the cracks...
