Hello everyone. And welcome back to destiny tribe. I'm your host, Paul Barratt. Well, I'm doing a little bit differently this week. Doing this podcast on the fly. I'm not sitting in front of my microphone, so hopefully the sound is okay. I guess we'll soon find out, right? Well, we've been speaking for a few months now on purpose and destiny and assignment and all these buzzwords and trigger words and so on. And I think one of the common threads throughout all of this is timing and being, or living in a Western culture. We're very much a people that want things done quick, fast, and in a hurry. We're so used to having the minute meals and the minute Bible and the fast food restaurants and the something that I've really learned over the years is that, you know, things do not turn around overnight.

And the suddenly moments that we so anticipate and expect don't happen really happen the way that we think that are going to happen. And so I just wanted to maybe bring a settling to a lot of you that are listening, because when we talk about purpose and destiny, when we talk about connecting with our gifts, talents, and our abilities and our dreams, passions, and desires, and our skill sets, and, you know, putting all these things together, our goals, our aspirations, our connections on networking, you know, one of the things that happens is that we get very excited because we finally see and connect with something that we know that we're called to do, but unfortunately it never takes, it never takes the time that we want it to be accomplished in, because I mean, let's, let's be honest with this. If we know what we're called to do, and we see ourselves doing this, which I definitely promote that you see yourself in the future actually engaged in something that you so passionately desire to do.

We want it now. And the, the issue with that is that we, we may see something so far off, we see ourselves doing it, but we're not totally equipped to carry out that assignment yet. And this creates quite quite a contradiction in our lives. This creates at times, um, a depressive state, because let's be honest, when we're waiting five years, 10 years, 30 years in some cases, then we can get sidetracked, distracted, bored, because we, we, we want it. Now. We want that fulfillment now. And what has kept me going throughout the years. And you know, I'm going to be very honest with you. There have been times where I have had to fight a lot of uphill struggles and there are, there have been times where I just want to shut myself away and I don't want to deal with things or deal with people because things have not gone the way that I expected them to go.

And you know, it's not this w people are the same when it comes to this thing. I really believe that. I think there's a very, very small percentage of people that say, you know what, I'm in for the long haul. I'm, I'm geared, I'm governed. I know where I stand. I believe this is going to take this amount of time and anything shorter than that is a big win for me. Well, you know, t
