It's been two weeks since their last recording, so Troy and Rick catch up on what they've been doing and watching. First up, they talk about I Lost My Body, the mysterious film by Jérémy Clapin. Next, they give their opinion on the latest Charlie's Angels starring Kristen Stewart. Finally, they're midway through watching Dolly Parton's Heartstrings, the Netflix holiday series perfect for awkward family viewing.

And that’s a wrap! The first season on Drag Race UK is signed, sealed and delivered. It all comes down to this. RuPaul chooses our first official UK queen. Baga, Divina and the Vivienne have brought it this season. Now they take to the runway to work it, own it, kill it, and leave us gagging. Baga has melted our hearts. The Vivienne, drag’s own Iron Lady, keeps us impressed. But it’s no secret Rick and I’ve been Team Divina for a few weeks now.

So you can imagine how the night played out for us (No jokes. Too soon. 😭). But here’s the tee: we have no shade to give. We love these girls. How did they all manage such likability? We’ve loved our reinvigorated Ru. We’ve loved Michelle’s confrontations with the British judges. We’re a bit sad it’s over. But as we all know, Drag Race has a way of launching its talented girls into the superstar drag-osphere. 

For this episode, Rick and Troy take on Actor-Network Theory. New to the theoretical framework, Rick dives in by describing debates around Actor-Network Theory, and uses it to describe how he plays the new Pokemon Shield (he's Team Sobble). On the other hand, Troy connects the performative relation between actors with his project’s examination of fashion branding and brand consumers (he’s Team Scorbunny).

For this episode, Rick and Troy pick up the discussion on narrative theory. Rick analyzes the ongoing narrative of the US government in the showdown between Nancy Pelosi, Congress and Donald Trump. Looking at the Oprah phenomenon, Troy explores the role of narrative in reinterpreting our own emotions in conforming to social situations.

It’s family week at Drag Race UK as Divina, the Vivienne, Baga and Cheryl team up with their moms and sisters for the family resemblance challenge. It’s hard to believe that we're almost to the end of the season! We've gotten quite attached to the UK girls. Judging by the previews, we might have something of a reunion next week? Gasp. Guest judges are Michaela Coel and Alan Carr.

When Rick, Serena and Troy come together over tea at St. Pancras to discuss narrative theory, Rick confronts the hugeness of narrative. While Serena questions the impact of social narratives, Troy considers how narratives implement social control.
