I wish you a happy new year and encourage you to challenge yourself spiritually. These verses get a glimpse of how we grow in spiritual maturity in our minds and hearts. Within Western Christianity, spiritual tests appear to have the context of blessings.  But within these verses, we see that spiritual tests drive us closer to God. 

This year create a space to grow spiritually through faithful tests to experience more of God.  I find evidence when God tests us within our mind and heart, He reveals himself more and allows us to understand ourselves better.

As we reflect over this year and discern over this year's past events, we are encouraged to look at the year 2020 through our heart of wisdom. This spiritual discipline has been given freely from God to us by changing our hearts and equipping us with the Holy Spirit. 

And as we prepare for 2021, I'm encouraged that the same spiritual discipline we can use in the future to see the glory of God and what God is doing.
