Let’s face it, we’ve had hard work weeks and a hard year. Our time is so precious and our days are packed full of events that might take us away from God. I’ve always wondered and try to make time for devotion time with God while working and it seems to be sometimes rough. 

I decided to make a devotion that didn’t take a lot of time but created space to engage with Scripture, listen to God, and seek some rest before or doing the workday.  Mondays are hard, Tuesdays try our patience, Wednesday we feel almost done, and “By Thursday” we can’t wait for Friday to get here. 

For one minute during each day of the workweek, this devotional will create space to engage with God and hopefully aid in spiritual maturity. Starting Dec 28th... because some are working during the holiday season. #bythursday

This podcast examines how to be grateful.  During this season, it can be at times hard to be grateful. The word grateful is used so loosely at times it might be hard to fit in our vocabulary. 

However, to be grateful is one of the greatest spiritual gifts that we have. This spiritual gift allows us to focus on the important things in life and what God is doing as we wait for Christ's return.

Haunn takes a look at the Spiritual Practice of Detachment speaking on the third topic, Relinquishment of the False Self at Monroe Covenant Church virtually Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, through the book of Genesis 29:31-35.

“Detachment is not about creating distance, it’s about a divine understanding of the true significance of life so that we better connect to it.  It’s starting with love. It’s staying in the tension while holding strong to our faith and letting go of “self”.  It’s being  vulnerable and honest with our disarranged attachments so we can be free in Christ – therefore, detachment is a necessary practice in the life of any believer.”
