July 07, 2023 Devils excellent offseason continues! How does the Colin Miller trade impact the roster?
GM Fitzgerald continues his offseason of success and the guys are in to break down the recent wave of moves. First, the Devils sent a 2025 fifth rounder to Dallas for Defenseman Colin Miller. Another move for veteran experience and consistency, Miller offers a safety net among with Smith and Luke Hughes begins his rise for New Jersey.
Mikey McLeod and Nathan Bastian also signed 1 and 2-yea deals respectively, keeping the two tied at the hip on and off the ice. McLeod emerged during the NHL playoffs for New Jersey and keeping his gritting play(and face-off percentage) mattered for the Devils this year.
Lastly Adam and Danny take a small victory lap on predicting where the goalie situation was going to go as the Devils added Erik Kallgren who will effectively replace Blackwood this upcoming season.

The New Jersey Devils have been very busy this offseason, and as the Draft approaches GM Tom Fitzgerald went ahead and made a move for a veteran Wing in Tyler Toffoli.
Sending a third round pick in the 2023 Draft along with impeding Free Agent Yegor Sharangovich back to Calgary, the Devils add another experienced veteran to support their young core.

After the Devils negotiated just the second sign-and-trade in NHL history, the front office wasted no time retaining one of their young core, re-signing Jesper Bratt to an 8/$63m contract. The descending money makes it a very team friendly deal that will afford the Devils the ability to add pieces in the years ahead.
Timo Meier also entered team arbitration, reducing his cap number from $10m down to $8.5m while of still being on track for a long-term deal.

March 21, 2023 Jesper Bratt and Devils comeback win over the Lighting can get New Jersey on point for NHL playoffs
Adam and Danny discuss how the early struggles against the Tampa Bay Lightning had all the right energy for a comeback win. For a team that seems to be on a game to game flow of big moments and inconsistent lapses, Sunday they remained locked in though the early deficit.
Coach Ruff continues to tweak lineups in the hopes of unlocking the best playoff rotation and Jesper Bratt responded in a big way.
It was an excellent two-way game from several players, that with a little bit of Puck Luck, got New Jersey back in the win column.
