We move towards that which we set our gaze. At first glance, it seems that there is nothing but wickedness that fills the earth. Psalm 36 is a wonderful word from the Lord that says, "Look at me!" His loyal love can not be contained and vastly outpaces the wickedness of the world. His people can remain steadfast, taking refuge in him and his faithful love. Look at him!

In Psalm 34, David tells us to taste and see that the Lord is good. We are reminded how one should use their tongue and life for righteousness. Most poignantly, we see that the Lord protects and loves his redeemed. No one who comes to the Lord will find bitterness or malice - only sweetness and goodness.

David records these incredible words in Psalm 32: "Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit." How could David say this? Because of the work of Jesus. Are you able to say this today? If not, why wait? Confess your sins to the Lord, and find forgiveness.

Psalm 27 expresses confidence in the Lord while David learns to trust God even in the waiting times of life. Our trust in God grows as we worship, pray, and wait on the Lord.

Nothing is going on in our world right now where God is not present, aware, and ruling in his sovereignty to bring about the end in which he created the world. This means we can't quarantine or segregate God from our lives but that he is extending his presence into our lives and calls us to trust and submit to him humbly. Grace is required, and grace is given!

Psalm 23 might be the most well-known passage of Scripture in the Bible, and for a good reason. David tells us that when the Lord is your shepherd, he is with you, and he is all you need.
