Jesus brings his ministry and teaching back to his hometown of Nazareth. All seems to be going well when those closest to him take offense at him all of a sudden. We are right to be disappointed and feel bad for our Lord, but we do better to ask ourselves, "Am I ever offended by Jesus?" The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to mold us and shape us into the Son of God. We have to be in the Word and willing to respond with faith, especially when God confronts us from the Bible with things we need to address in our lives.
