Everyone feels anxious sometimes, and if you have chronic anxiety or an anxiety disorder, these feelings can make it challenging to get through the day.

Anxiety coping skills can help you manage anxious thoughts and feelings in the moment. Different coping skills work for different people, so hopefully one of these seven skills can help you or someone you know to deescalate some of the intrusive thoughts that may come with anxiety and panic.  

No matter what’s causing your anxiety, developing a few coping skills can make all the difference. Just knowing you have some coping skills to rely on can provide comfort in times that anxiety and panic hit.

For the past month, I have been physically shut down due to Covid reactivating the Epstein-Barr virus in my body.  This has been extremely difficult to deal with and the same time learning how to cope through this season has also been fruitful.

We all instinctively respond to trauma in different ways. Our complex nervous system wiring of this response allows a person in danger to react in four different ways. Fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.

There can be both healthy and unhealthy outcomes of those responses. In this episode, Michael breaks down what those responses look like, and how we can learn to manage these as we live out our adult life.

Starting 2023 by sharing my story!

I’ve been putting this off for many reasons because there is tension here. I know the enemy doesn't want me to share this.
The truth is, this podcast episode will set others free. My purpose here is to show the healing work of the Lord and therapy in my life. To show others that you can make it, and to be an available resource for others if needed.

There is so much pain going on in the world, and we can either let it sit and get us down or we can actually do something about it. 

We have an opportunity to really impact those around us, especially our friends and family. How we talk and listen to our kids is huge in their development and dealing with life.
