During last week’s episode, we talked about the importance of embracing the “non-striving” mentality. If you haven’t listened to that episode yet, head over to episode 093 and press play! That will set you up to dig even deeper with us during this episode.
Today, we’ve got a special guest here to talk about the non-striving mentality through Tarot Card reading. Her bio says it all, and she’s here to share her best tips and takeaways with you today!
“I’ve spent my entire life trying to control the uncontrollable. Whether it was my weight, my grades when I was in school, or just the things that happened to me in general- I wanted to have complete control over it all. I think I would have tried to change the weather if I thought I could have made that possible! This worked out here and there for short periods of time; only, then life would happen and I would be thrown completely off my game. I would feel like everything was crashing down around me. I would gain all the weight back. I would stress out over anything negative. I would cry all the time and get nothing done. It would take me weeks or even months to regain my footing only to repeat the cycle not long after.
Cut to my adult life when I became a wife and mom. Things were going swimmingly, or so I thought, until my second son came into the world with a rare genetic disorder that I definitely had no control over. Life as I knew it was a complete mess and I didn’t know how to bounce back. Between dozens of monthly appointments and too many what-ifs, I was at a loss and completely terrified. I wasn’t sure what to do next or where to go from there. I desperately wanted my life back and I didn’t have a clue about how to do that.
I tried everything in the book to bring “myself” back. From self-help books to mom groups, wine to home projects and tons in between- none of it worked- at least not completely. I truly felt alone and misunderstood by those around me. Slowly, and after years of searching, I found that through the spiritual practice of using tarot and oracle card reading, I was able to reconnect with myself on a deeper level. My internal pain points and struggles were brought to the surface so quickly and apparently in my readings that I had no choice but to take action or continue to wallow.
By addressing all of the tough stuff that I was confronted with, I found my way back to feeling like myself. I was able to work on and heal the darker parts of my pain and grow from them. This led me to sharing this gift with other women who have felt the same in their lives. I blend the spiritual “woo woo” of card reading with relatable, practical guidance to help women feel like they’re in control of their life with the tools and strategies I’ve been using for years.”
