Dice Punks episodes

November 16, 20211.13 – Cultural Exchange – Nightfall
Nightfall continues! In this episode, our far-flung heroes learn about the land of Diamachor, as well as their erstwhile hostess...
Check out REIGN and Nobilis!
Drew's new album, "When This Ends," can be heard on his Carpe Demon Bandcamp page!
Des, alas, will not be in this episode or the several following, as Ramnet was not present on the voyage, but never fear! He will rejoin our episodes once the action returns from abroad!
Adam had dog noises all over this one, and attempts were made to remedy it, but... success was mixed.
Similarly, audio was oddly peaky this time around, for unclear reasons. All available avenues to keep it from being an issue were pursued, so hopefully it sounds all right!
Adam mixed up "Apatea" and "Nyx" several times, and had to overdub one of them awkwardly. Oops...

October 30, 20210.3 – The Horror Corridor – Spooky Streets
A surprise, spooky, seasonal one-shot, GMed by Joanne, who played Roux in our PSIONICS one-shot! Can a mismatched group of high-school weirdos survive an otherworldly encounter in local haunted-house attraction The Horror Corridor with nothing but their wits, each other, and the godlike power to access the abilities of their costumes? Listen, and see!

We had dog noises all over this one, and thus Drew muting himself more often than he remembered to unmute himself, but as this is a shorter episode and some really fun banter came of the incidents, we decided to leave them in -- let us know how you, the audience, feel about that, for future reference!
666's rolled = 8 (one on Lyssa rolling CHARM + Fascinate, one on Dask rolling KNOWLEDGE + Language: Diamach!)
Adam referenced The Good Place's extremely funny "Jeremy Bearimy" bit (beware spoilers if you haven't seen The Good Place -- in which case you should just watch it)!
Apatea is a returning character from previous, unpodcasted campaigns, who appears in this campaign by (player request) in a new, unrelated incarnation. The players knew she might show up, but not when or how!

There were occasional (I suspect dog-related) "bonking" noises on one track this time, that sadly had to remain in the episode -- hopefully they are blessed sounds in your ears, and not an annoyance or a distraction!
According to a few places I've looked online, best-case scenario under ideal conditions, one could maybe see the peaks of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado in the U.S. from as far away as 150 miles -- about the location of Yuma, CO.
We humorously quoted from "Ironic," by Alanis Morisette, at one point in this episode.

Apologies for the audio quality dip -- there was a rush to get this one out... We also had some lag, and... well, eventually, around episode 20 or so, the audio situation should be notably improved!

We eventually get it consistently right, but there are a couple of Kayas (KAI-uhs) when we meant to say Kaya (KAY-uh).
There were two different issues with tracks having recording artifacts this time, though both had at least partial solutions we're happy with. You may hear some hints of their presence, though, for which we apologize!

August 01, 20211.07 – A Conversation With Management – Nightfall

Check out REIGN and Nobilis!
Alternate episode titles include "Lament of the Would-Be Labor Organizer" and "Forced Arbitration"
Might be our wooliest and punchiest episode to date! Among the audio and other issues at play in this episode: Mic issues, dog noise (courtesy of Absinthe & Violet), cat noise (courtesy of Farious), a hard cut-off time, Adam knocking over his mic laughing mid-session, new-teaching-term-related sleep deprivation, and being recorded 3 days after the January 6th Capitol Insurrection of 2021 here in the U.S. o_0
A well-known dramatization of Dask & Lyssa's conversation upon returning to Fermata, courtesy of Mitchell & Webb.
Lyssa's final form, as per Robin (via Voltron, Dragonball Z, and pop culture in general). Bonus Steven Universe reference as palette cleanser!

Nightfall continues! In this episode, our bedraggled demigods meet their first Nobilis of another Imperator, and things quickly come to a head...
Check out REIGN and Nobilis!
There was more lag this time than usual; Adam tried to edit around it, but apologies. For any. Awkward... pauses you may encounter!
Adam does use a pop-filter on his mic, but, well, sorry for the loud plosive partway through the episode.
666s rolled = 6. Drew rolled both of this episode's 666s!
"Earlie in the mornin'!"
Adam would just like to note that he did not edit out any silence, rehearsal, stumbling, etc. from the episode regarding Drew's extemporized poems – Drew's just that good!
Disney is not only awful about intellectual property law, generally, they're also largely the authors of the U.S.'s IP laws as they currently exist!
