Today I am joined by Rev. Dina A. Miani Lauman. Dina is the founder of the WellBeing, a sanctuary for vegan Christians, spiritual seekers, and all who long to live with greater compassion, wonder, and wholeness.

An ordained United Church of Christ minister and ordained Animal Chaplain through the Compassion Consortium, Dina integrates spirituality, psychology, and plant-based living to nurture healing for people, animals, communities, and the Earth. She is a Main Street Vegan Academy Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator, a licensed Food for Life Instructor through the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and a Narrative Experiential Practitioner.

Through coaching, spiritual direction, classes, retreats, and experiential gatherings, Dina creates spaces where transformation unfolds with curiosity, courage, and grace. A lifelong lover of Disney storytelling and the power of wonder, she believes wonder changes us.

Today, I am joined by Steve Fenster the founder and president of NJveg, and is now a full-time volunteer.  He holds degrees in Biology, Business Administration, and Computer Science from Rutgers University, and worked as a systems engineer.  Steve has been vegan for 16 years and was vegetarian for 7 years prior.  He is a lifelong New Jersey resident, and has lived in the northern, central, and (currently) southern portions of the state.

NJveg is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to educating the public on the benefits of a plant-based life while providing support, volunteer opportunities, and social events throughout New Jersey.

Today I am joined by Liz Wheeler of Secondhand Stories Chicken Sanctuary. Liz is a passionate animal advocate who has spent her life dedicated to protecting animals and inspiring compassion for them. She has completed a certificate in Animal Welfare from Thompson Rivers University and a certification in Anthrozoology at the University of Windsor. Her enthusiasm for connecting people and animals together has led her to a career as a professional fundraiser. She's worked at the Ottawa Humane Society, Humane Canada (Canadian Federation of Humane Societies) and is currently the Philanthropy Manager at Faunalytics. 

In 2022, Liz began rescuing chickens and is now the proud founder of Secondhand Stories Chicken Sanctuary. Her passions include convincing government officials to care about animals and eating vegan food.

She is the founder of the vegan-centric non-profit, Our Collective Heart and co-creator of World Peace Yoga, a school of yoga in Cincinnati, Ohio offering online and in studio classes.  Anna is the director of Our Collective Heart’s self-paced online courses Yoga for the Common Good Relational Activist Training and Compassion for All Yoga Teacher Training. On Anna's quest to inspire individuals to manifest the most authentic version of themselves, she wrote, World Peace Yoga: Yoga for People Who Breathe.
