It takes bravery to engage in questioning the stories and experiences shown to us throughout our childhoods. Today we will discuss the power and purpose of re-authoring our own narratives.
There is power and purpose in re-authoring our childhood narrative.
Where did they hear their narratives? Who told them or showed them these things? What did they see? What did they experience? Our narratives dictate who we are, and how we live, think, and experience life.
It takes bravery to engage in questioning the stories and experiences shown to us and reworking our story.
Important to remember: you were a child. Goal: a sense of agency and internal control
Think about: who you were, who you wanted to be, your role in your family system, and who you engaged with Be the lead character of your here-and-now story.
