The way we listen to music is far beyond thinking in boxes. Nowadays music genres are more related to each other than ever before. Therefore we don’t think in boxes in our Dirty Disco music podcast. Even though Disco is in our name. That does not mean we only play Disco. The Disco in our name refers to Disco as a starting point and ancestor of Dance music. Disco is where the 4 to the floor kick drum started, which was more or less the starting point of a whole new genre and scene. The subtitle of this weeks radio-show is just to give you an idea of what to expect. The Sound Of Deep House is for everybody else since you can sub categorize Deep House. Let’s dive in to this podcast episode and see what’s on the menu in Dirty Disco Radio 264.

Dirty Disco Radio 264 – The Sound Of Deep House.

Why the sound of Deep house? Well, in this episode the dominating vibe is a deeper sound. If you listen to Dirty Disco on a regular base. You know that you can expect a lot of different genres within the electronic dance music scene. We play Disco edits, Nu Disco what some might refer to as ‘New’ Disco. We play House in al varieties. So Deep House, Soulful House, Tech House, Future House comes by occasionally. The only demand is that the tracks fit within the Dirty Disco sound and that they are in harmony with each other.

To achieve this. Every week i curate a lot of new music, including the music promo’s that i receive in my e-mail inbox. I make a big selection of the tracks, EP’s and albums that i like. After that i narrow it down to a smaller selection with the tracks that i find they really stand out from the rest. That there is the starting point of the DJ mix. With this narrowed down selection i’m starting a mix session, where i look at several factors. It has to build up in temp (BPM range) and energy levels need to build up and of the be able to be build up again. To do this i look at the harmony of the tracks, the vibe and the beats per minute. In this process my emotions and mood also play a big part.

What’s there to expect in this week’s episode?

Like i said just here above. The Sound Of Deep House is referring to the overall vibe of this weeks radio-show. In the beginning you can expect a few tracks that have that Deep Disco vibe to it. Just look at the new EP by Roman Rauch – Chaos In 1150. This new EP on the Secret Crunch German label includes a couple of really dope and funky Deep Disco tracks. After these vibes we continue with two more Deep Disco house tracks by Scruscru coming from his new EP Romantik. To be followed up by more Deep House vibed tracks from Rick Wade, DJ Boring, Slim Steve, Armless Kid.

Towards the end we play you the monster track from Kolsch & Tiga – HAL. And a new promo track on the Clueless Music Label from producer Cimieon and his new EP The Ritual that will hit the stores from the 7th of July. First it will be exclusively available on Traxsource. And from the 21th it will be available on all online music stores.
