As Lonlin rides off into the countryside astride Dandelion, our remaining heroes, feeling the loss of their moral compass, do the only logical thing and decide to follow the moral direction of Captain, the ship cat. Several shenanigans later, our heroes come across the ruined remains of a village set-upon by the Churlish Gnome, they discover an abberation left in his wake, along with a gloating message.

As we rejoin our main campaign, our adventurers, having recently purchased an airship, fly off in hot pursuit of the Churlish Gnome, following the information gleamed from scrying upon him. But it’s not smooth sailing, as out heroes try to teach themselves how to fly an airship, and are set upon by a monstrous bird diving at them out of the air. After a quick and decisive battle, our heroes make their way to the cabin seen in the vision, and find hundreds of scraps of writing, which provide clues into the destination of the gnome, and reveal some seriously disconcerting information about Lisette’s Warlock patron. And by the end of the episode, our heroes have adopted two pets, which we all know is the really important piece of summary.

In our fourth exploration of our character's backstories, we're looking at Lisette, before she disappeared in the Archives for a year, and gang, it's a wild ride. We're jumping back in time 33 years to explore a time before Lonlin joined the team at McGuffins Incorporated. And, just like many of us in our youth, she was an angrier person. Joined by two new characters, Zeph the ranger and the mysterious Thalia/Mel, and at the behest of her mother Balira, Lonlin must escort a crate of crabs - its definitely crabs - out of the city and up the cliffs to the outlook. But when new information comes to light, Lonlin begins to question her mother's intentions and truthfulness.

It's back to college this week, as we continue our exploration of our heroes' backtories. This week, it's Cricket's turn, and we're meeting him on the day he graduates from college; what could go wrong, eh? Joined by two new companions, Belrum and Hiraeth, Cricket works to prove his skills as a bard by serving dinner, catching fey, and jumping onto a couple of bullies who really had it coming. This is a crazy episode, and the only thing that makes me sad is that I can't keep playing with our two new companions.

As a creature of inky chaos is summoned by the Churlish Gnome, our party finds themselves with a moral dilemna of how to deal with their unintended adversary - do they kill him to stop the spread of his madness, or do they try to save him and give him the chance to redeem himself? But when he successfully deceives the party into taking him out of the Archives, how can our exhausted party track him down? 

This episode also features the manifestation of the soul of the Archives, and a truly incredible piece of thievery from Salem. Very rare magic items - they're worth a lot, who knew?

The New Fated Five have defeated a horrible artifact, and now it’s time for them to be celebrated for the heroes they are.
