Discerning the Times

Cecilia Simpson was fatally shot by Keona Hampton in Dallas, Texas after Simpson confronted Hampton for not saying 'thank you' when the door was held for her. The Bible speaks of how great violence was on the earth in the days of Noah. Have we reached that same level of violence today? We'll talk about this week on Discerning the Times.

Jesus stated in John 15:18, "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you." The world hates Charlie Kirk for the same reason that it will hate the two witnesses of the Tribulation and celebrate their deaths - because they all proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ. The world hated Jesus Christ first, therefore it will hate all of us who follow Him.

Should Christians support the nation of Israel? We take a look this week at lies and propaganda that are designed to turn world opinion against Israel.

We pay tribute to Charlie Kirk this week, who was assassinated on September 10, 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University. Charlie provides wise teaching on why buying into feminism guarantees a failed marriage.

We believe a sifting of the Church has been taking place over the past couple decades in our nation. We look this week at how much of the professing Church did not take a Biblical stand concerning the following events:

1. 2008 Presidential Election of Barack Obama
2. COVID-19 Pandemic
3. 2020 George Floyd Death
4. Black Lives Matter
5. 2023 Hamas Attack on Israel

We welcome back special guest, Pastor James Tharrington, Jr., to discuss the second edition of his book, "Should Christians Pledge Fraternities and Sororities?" Join us for this enlightening conversation about the divine 9 fraternities and sororities and whether Christians should pledge.

We conclude our three-part series this week by looking at the turbulent times that we are living in and what it all means as it concerns the return of Jesus Christ. We will analyze the following five key points in this series:

1.  The Rush Towards GLOBALISM.
2.  The Disintegration of Morality in the West.
3.  The Rapid Advancement in Technology.
4.  The1948 return Israel as a Nation and the threats against Israel by its neighbors.
5.  An Increase in Religious Deception in the Church.
