Adam Frost follows Ralph the Magic Rabbit

We bought this book for our library because a new student came to our school from Australia. I asked him his favorite book and he said 'Ralph the Magic Rabbit' but you can't get it here. I respond well to challenges and found that I was able to order it on Amazon from England. I can only say that our 3-4th graders love it and teachers have used it as a read aloud. So, the next question from a student was has Adam Frost written anything else. I ordered paperbacks of the four books I could find. They are part of his

Zoo Story series. The kids say Ralph is their favorite, but the Zoo Story books are pretty good. So five big stars to Ralph which be included among our classics and four stars to the Zoo Story books.

Great series- not as good an experience with the projects.

We are currently using this book series in our homeschooling group- read at home & build in class.

After the first book, very little website support is given.

The first book has discussion questions & videos which were extremely helpful in knowing what to expect- after that, nothing- you're on your own.

Many of the references to radio shack are no longer valid- though you can still sometimes find the items as referenced online-- most items you are left to "wing it" and hope you find the right thing on Amazon.

The kids love the series so far- but finding the correct, quality supplies is frustrating.

I had hoped the nick and tesla website would have continued the support that made using the books so easy.

A must have for any kid's library!!!

I chose this book because it looked interesting. I had never previewed the book prior to purchasing it. I couldn't be more pleased with the decision to purchase the book! It has a fun mystery story for the kids that leads into making thier own robots. The kids (ages 10 and 13) were excited to make them and had a great time. They love playing with thier robots they have made. One thing that is not in the book is the how's and the why's about making the robots. But as a homeschooler I use supplemental information to teach how a battery works and other lessons on electricity. I think if the book included how the robot works it might not be as appealing to the kids. I recommend this book from age 7-14. I have already recommended this book to a friend and she has purchased it. I have also pre-ordered the next book and purchased the other one! I hope you love the book as much as we do!

Great book!

My daughter loves all the Pinkalicious books and this one is just as awesome as the rest. It's a shorter story with only 32 pages but a cute story about Pinkalicious and her mom that are out for a bike ride and find a yard sale. She is given two dollars to buy anything in the yard sale and she uses it to find a Pinkatastic gift for her mom. It would be a cute Mother's day gift.

Enjoyable

I read this book aloud with my 9-year-old (boy) and my 12-year-old (girl). Both of the kids enjoyed the book and asked if we can buy another book in the series. Yes, of course! Any time they ask for books (as opposed to toys or video system games) the answer is YES! The three of us took turns reading a chapter each, the story was engaging and it was suitable for both kids' reading level (not to mention that I, Mom, enjoyed it, as well). Also, they were able to relate to the characters and plot, which helped hold their attention. I asked each of them what they liked best about the story and the 9-year-old said it was fun and he liked the mystery. The 12-year-old said she liked the ending, sort of a life lesson/moral of the story wrap-up. Perfect! If you're looking for a good read -- I would recommend Nanny P's stories.

Your Kids Will Love It

I got this book for my almost ten year old grandson. He saw it had a girl on it and gave me a look. He's supposed to be doing extra reading during the summer. I told him to read a chapter a day.

He sat down and read it. He has a man cave behind our couch and sets the Kindle up there. I heard him giggling. When he climbed out he was laughing and told me I should read the book since I write scary books. I asked him if he liked it and he said "Definitely" but made me promise not to tell any of his friends since it has a picture of a girl on the cover.

I asked him to rate it from 1 - 5 stars and he said he'd give it 5 stars. I read it when he went home and it was a good book. Both of us would recommend it for kids. I'll be getting the others in her series.

A Ghost of a Story with a Lovely Ending

Rebekah - Girl Detective #4: Ghost Hunting is another fantastic read in the Rebekah Series with just the right amount of 'spooky' and plenty of mystery. It's also full of fun as well, if you appreciate the humor behind a child with a pet mouse that often ends up where it shouldn't.

Rebekah - Girl Detective #4: Ghost Hunting is a must read for youngsters and parents both and I have to say the author has a good imagination as well, because the story line of this story is one that will definitely resound with children and their parents.

Do yourself a favor and explore the 'Rebekah Series' with your children if you want to foster a love of reading with them.

Fun Short Mystery Story

This was a great read which I read in class with my 10 year old students at the end of a day. When I asked for their comments, they all agreed that it was funny and a bit spooky. I could see that the book had characters that they could relate to and the mystery plot certainly kept them engaged. A fun short story for kids.
